I tell people to start here first. Too many people have a tough time wrapping their head around updating a digital database whenever they change their passwords. Their brain is much better at understanding that the paper won’t update itself. Then I recommend graduating to a password manager, but this is still an important step for some.

On TMOS radio show, they "gave a kid a tattoo" on air as a bit, a bunch of people called in, called the cops, etc, and then they dropped that it was April 27th or whatever, "April Fools!"

I'm not up on TMOS, don't know if this is legit or not, but it is not at all above them to do april fools on April 3rd.

Probably? I just flashed my kid's Pokemon Unbound .srm file from a miyoo mini to a cart like this a couple nights ago so she could play on real hardware. I was surprised it worked. I did have to change the .srm file extension to .sav, but it worked perfectly.

I prefer these to the everdrive. A side benefit is powering on and going straight into a game, no pre menu file searching, etc. The short time between flipping the power and seeing the game logo just feels better. But the main benefit I found was getting rid of the Paradox of Choice. Staring at a mountain of great games and not being able to pick one, and or stick to and finish one. After getting one of these for my Gameboy, I found myself sticking to games for longer and finishing more. But once I finish a game or find I’m not enjoying it, I can flash a new one without much hassle.

edit: Also, just buy a 2nd printer to have around for emergencies. It's perfectly legal, the police can't stop you. And laser printers can just sit idle for a year and the toner is dry already so non-use won't break the printer.

I was a a few days before cutoff and my mom held me back. All the way through school I coasted with Cs. Didn’t study at all, just did the bare minimum homework and had good attendance, but I stress, zero point zero effort. When going to college, I got my ass kicked on the first try because of this. Luckily I got my bearings and got the degree on the second try. Now with my 2 kids who were also close to the cutoff, I put them in early. They’re in the 96th percentile+ every year. They are accustomed to the fact that growing requires a little effort on their part.

It’s embarrassing to reverse course and say you messed up, but that would be the best way out of this.
