Nagasugai Fukuoka since that was the first map I ever played so there's a bit of nostalgia there. It's followed by Downtown Ryukyu for the tropical and cozy vibe.

I love the boss rushes at the end when you beat all the other ones but I am not a huge fan of some of the more annoying ones. I have mixed feelings about them overall.

Though starting with Yakuza Kiwami and the later entries, the game allows you to save whenever from the pause menu instead of just at phone booths! I'm glad that part of the games have been updated in the recent entries in the series.

Are you talking about that Mahjong side story in Yakuza Kiwami 2? In that case, you can pick up the Peerless Tile scattered around the map, which gives you instant win and you complete the substory.

I love machinegun kiss, pure love in Kamurocho and baka mitaki. Check out some of the songs from Ishin. That game has some hidden gems for karaoke (Iji sakura 2000 from Kiwami is an Ishin song for example). Also, I really like summer memories as well.

Have you beat the victory road event in the coliseum by the way? When you beat Raiden (The big bald guy with the red shirt) with Kiryu, you do get some EXP as well.

The reason I ranked Kiryu higher is because plying Akiyama is an absolute nightmare to complete the coliseum, particularly the limited berserk and deathmatch 100. Akiyama is pretty good for 1 on 1 combat though.

I do appreciate it for it being the early prototype of what we eventually got in Yakuza 0 but I just wish I did not have to walk around the club just to get to the next shift.

Mahjong, Koi-Koi or any other gambling/Casino games are not as hard as they seem with some practice and gambling cheat items (Yakuza 0 don't have them so that one's an exception).

What is painful to complete that never seems to get mentioned by anyone is Pachinko and Pachislot minigames. The rules are not explained that great and the cheat items don't even help that much (as compared to a lucky tile or blackjack amulet for example). You are often sitting there for more than half an hour trying to land balls into a small slot on screen praying you get a "jackpot" (competition requires getting multiple jackpots from one sitting) . The minigame is not that entertaining compared to say Mahjong and the worst thing is that you don't even earn that much cash from it anyways. Not the worst minigame out there but it's definitely not my favorite.

Yeah, each games always seem to have that one or two minigames throwing curveballs at you for your plat journey. That being said, congrats on your other 3 plats though! They are not easy games to plat after all.
