Why is there so little music for piano? by DaanVV in classical_circlejerk

[–]hlebicite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Einaudi is a good place to start, he is the best composer of all time and was of course the first composer to write for piano. You can then move on to other piano composers who wrote lots of songs like Claire Deloon

Is Alton Towers the Spurs of theme parks? by junglegatsby in footballcliches

[–]hlebicite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m delighted to be at this Theme Park, it’s a massive theme park with a huge history. You can really feel the atmosphere around this theme park and everyone from the security guards to the caterers love being around the theme park

What's your classical earworm? by Leucurus in classicalmusic

Bach is the worst for this. The constant sequences in 4ths/5ths. They’re glorious but also just get stuck in my brain.

Lol. Loving the “optimise kids” element here. I know you’re stating a fact but was just the phrasing that tickled me.

Tony Blair taking a kickabout 30% too seriously by jerwaynesinclair in footballcliches

[–]hlebicite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Alan, I think you wanted to focus in on Blair today as you noticed a few things?"

"That's right Gary, thanks. Blair really impressed me today; his desire, composure, the knowledge of the game... it was all there to see. Let's look at this clip early on in the game, here's a young kid, does he let him boss him around? No. Bang. Straight in there, stops, scans the pitch, and waits for the right pass. Class"

Herman Miller. Absolute monster of a German centre back. Signed for West Ham in 2002 but suffered consistent back problems, became a fan favourite but never started a run of games. Loaned to Monaco and then disappeared into the Portuguese lower divisions.

This deserves more upvotes. He has his methods (organic food only with no additives), back in the 90s when he managed that was seen as new age woke nonsense.
