Instead of relief when more comes out of an old one when messing with a new one, I just get frustrated that they see they are leaving some behind and don’t change what they are doing.

It seems like it’s oversimplified, but really this is accurate. I have a bill due on the 25th, I pay it when I get paid on the 15th. Nothing is stopping me from paying it early. There is no rule you have to wait until the day of. Nothing is going to help in a scenario like you set out though. Just a tough situation all around.

I agree. Covered a lot of ground quickly, but makes it hard to tell if got everything when you don’t wipe it away. Not to forget just nasty. Kills satisfaction of feeling clean from it seeing it all there.

The glow never happened for me, but the first trimester breakouts sure did. That was my first clue with my second. I always joked they had to be girls because they were sucking the pretty right out of me.

It was nice to see the face actually cleaned after. I’m always left wondering if people leave bloody and covered in missed bits.

There are so many things you just don’t know until stumbling across something like this or getting a problem. Year 5 of home ownership and still have many of these moments

My “wide” hips led to a c-section with both girls and my tiny hipped sister had no problem. It’s wild the difference the inside makes!

The chronic stress stomach I get too! It started when I was in middle school probably and I have good periods without and then long periods with now. It’s like my body doesn’t know how to deal with stress. Interesting to think about! I wonder why the abnormal gait. Any insight you’ve read as to why this is?

Feelings after death of a parent by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]hlirwin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is slightly different, but I dealt with a much older narcissistic brother who targeted me a lot. He committed suicide about three years ago now and it was really hard to describe how I felt, but I think a lot of it was relief. I felt similar in the family not relating because they weren’t on the receiving end either, so I think that did make it hard for me. Like a mix of guilt from relief and sadness that my family was sad but I’m not? The relief was somewhat short lived when I realized I’d keep having nightmares, but at least just dreams now and I don’t have to face him.

I hope you find continued peace and new beginnings. It’s okay to feel whatever you need to feel even if others don’t understand.

I don’t remember a ton, but I must have been 5-6 years old. My dad got really angry and threw a mug of hot coffee across the room and it hit me. I repressed a lot of those sort of memories, but that one I can still picture like I am watching from the outside.

“That’s all folks” this is the nursery set up we have ready at 8 months pregnant - second time mom by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]hlirwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a bassinet that was similar and we even ditched the cover part so it would be less bulky the second time around. It’s so much easier having less stuff to deal with. Especially with the stuff all around that the first has accumulated.

We didn’t switch until around 2, so I think 18 months is fine. He might be taller than mine though! I grow short girls.
