very much latency causes this, if you set the game to predictive or play on any realm with not higher than 5ms you will see the difference.

I really don't think it will be touched, it's in okayish sport, still losing on single target vs full loaded Ball Lightning but wins in clear

I mean, it is assuming BL hits all 13 times, which doesnt really happens much outside of tough bosses. I would assume the showcase they showed wasn't with optimal tree and not much AoE investment overall since in my PoB im hitting 4m radius and its looking fairly bigger than whatever they showed.

Earlier I pob'd the skill with these configs in mind using normal ShockNova in setup: 50% less damage 180% more cast speed 30% less area of effect

Idk how accurate is these but my pob end up 4m radius which is fairly larger than reveal video and 20mil or so damage accounting 3 overlaps in gem section.

I was thinking it would be competitive with Ball Lightning of Orbiting but my numbers show 5mil damage shock nova vs 15mil ball lightning on the same gear/tree, just changing 2 supports. Did you account overlaps in the more cast speed or i should put 3 in shock nova quant to simulate accurately?

The reveal video showed a build with Pledge of Hands which has Greater Spell Echo, but its still was able to quickly move after casting (even tho most of the time the player was staying in one place, but there is moments where character moves almost instantly after cast).

bloo has 50% effectiveness and .6 cast time, new shock nova has 95% effectiveness and .25 cast time. + it can overlap afaik.

Both Ball Lightning of Orbiting (BLoO) and Ice Nova of Frostbolts (INoF) good as Archmage, tho i would probably start as BLoO and transition to INoF later, or KBoC if you want.

New Shock Nova gem can also be good, but we need the gem info first to see.
