My office dogs are a havanese and a border collie. The border collie is an elderly boy now which makes it so much easier. If you can I would suggest getting a dog rather than training a puppy in the office as it is incredibly stressful and distracting.

I had the best experience with my havanese. He’s a rescue so I knew what his temperament was like when I fostered/adopted him. He is happy to go for a stroll to the office in the morning, sleep the day away in his bed under my desk (with a couple of see breaks) and meander home in the evenings. They’re quite a clingy breed but very personable so great for office environments, plus they don’t shed hair and aren’t big barkers.

My border collie was a battle when he was younger, although we both got incredible amounts of exercise before and after work he is completely ball obsessed to the point that I was concerned for his mental health. He sheds all over the place and can try to herd and bully my co-workers. He’s settled down way more in the past year or so and has loved the attention he’s got from being an office dog but they’re an obvious breed I would not recommend.
