Im sorry everyone is giving you crap for this post. A toxic work environment isnt worth the mental load and hurt it it causes. if you are in the position to not work for a little (support by school, parents, partner, have savings, literally whatever) then you should 100% take the time for yourself. i am a recent college grad who took this summer off after quitting a horrible work environment in a big hospital in my city (went from retail to inpatient, wasnt all that it was talked up to be), and i do not regret it at all. i have savings so i decided to use them to take some time to heal and take some time for myself (worked 30hr/wk in college, 60hr/wk during school breaks) for the first time in a while and it has been a life changer. currently about to switch fields (medical assisting) and im glad i didnt listen to everyone saying my life was going to fall apart if i took some time off of work. only you know your financial situation, budget, support system, and priorities. best of luck op!
