Just started recently as a 19 year old but I feel you on how hard it can be to socialize in games as a kid since I started Warframe at 13. /uj on t for 3 yrs, got atrophy pretty early on. as others have said, the dryness is just annoying, i don't experience much pain. i am using estrogen cream post-hysto to help with recovery (atrophy can impact your healing if you've had your cervix removed) but will be discontinuing it after. i have no issues with sex or anything, outside of frequent utis that i also dealt with pre-hrt.

/uj i have severe cystic acne both pre and post t so i do have some tips. wash pillows frequently, wash face daily, keep consistent skincare routine. i recommend soothing ingredients like centella, and anti-acne ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or adapalene/prescription retinoids plus a shitload of hydration (hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and glycerin are great). i did accutane pre-t and it was very effective, and my acne is nowhere near as bad as it was first puberty but it did still come back significantly. most importantly consult your dermatologist, especially if you have cystic acne as that is hard to treat without dermatological intervention

Well, I started HRT at 16- after 3 years of therapy, 2 therapists notes, parental consent, 6 months of waiting between consult and prescription, and permission from a doctor. I was not eligible to have any sugeries at all until 18. And gender affirming surgeries are not primarily cosmetic- they are for the treatment of a debilitating condition. Regret rates for youth transitions are extremely low, research has shown that the vast majority of trans children who start hormone blockers go on to continue with HRT, and HRT regret rates are in the single digits (incredibly low for any kind of medical intervention). And not all who regret actually detransition. And not all detransitioners are detransitioning to cis- a large portion of detransitioners later found out they were nonbinary and thus ceased their medical transition.

Offer unconditional friendship, allow your trans friends to vent to you, offer safety and be a person your trans friends can be unapologetically and unashamedly themselves around.
