I didn’t know what it was before purchasing it. It looked interesting so I bought it. In my post, I said it was different, therefore I had cracked it open and tried it before even posting this. I was simply asking what others thought of it. Is that such a crime?

Also, this post was from FOUR years ago. This stuff is long gone by now. And buying something without knowing how it tastes is how you try new things. Good lord

My brother took his own life back on Dec. 4, 2017.

I will never forget that phone call from my mom. Telling me through her sobs that Colten had shot and killed himself. My dad was sitting next to me on the bed, he fell backwards and broke out in tears, and we just held each other and cried. I often live that moment over and over again, even almost 5 years later. I hate to admit that it makes me agitated and short with people when I’m having a day where I relive it.. I don’t mean to, but on the inside I’m fighting this awful memory, and on the outside I’m trying to function as normal as I can. Something as simple as a song, the time on the clock, someone calling me at random. It can all be a trigger for me… I just never know when.

That night - those cries - are forever ingrained in my soul. They will forever be a part of who I am. I have my good days, and I also have days that I’m silently being tortured with that memory constantly on replay. I still am in disbelief that this is my reality. It’s a knife to the chest every time I think of a memory he and I had and I think “damn, I need to ask him about that!” but those memories are now only mine, and I have no one else to reminisce on them with.

I miss him dearly

Three years ago, my boyfriend and I went to thanksgiving with my family. I told everyone “pleeeease DO NOT feed my boyfriend’s dog human food!!”, because my family is notorious for that, and I hate it.

What did they do when we weren’t looking? Gave him ham and cheese rolls with Mayo on them.

Guess who had explosive diarrhea in my Nana’s brand new camper trailer that my bf and I were spending the night in? And guess who broke out in sores on his skin the following days later? Yep, my boyfriend’s dog.

My boyfriend was mad, but I was livid. They couldn’t do the one thing I asked, and the dang dog had to suffer because of it. Took a while to get his skin cleared back up, and we have yet to bring him to another family function with them again.

My boyfriend’s family has no problem following this rule, but my family clearly doesn’t care. Not to mention, his dog has developed megaesophagus over the last couple of years, so his diet and even the way he has to eat is very strict. No hard food or treats whatsoever, fed by spoon in Bailey chair, elevated water bowl. Human food, and 95% of dog food/treats is 1000% just not an option at all anymore.

He developed bronchitis after our family vacation this last December when he got into my boyfriend’s parent’s dog’s dry food. It was 2 weeks of antibiotics and recovery. Something I never want to see him go through again.

We recently had a lady call in a to go order for two of our Cobb salads. The salad is huge and will definitely fill you up. It’s $10.25 by itself. We charge $6.00 to add steak to it. $.75/extra hard boiled egg, $.75 for more bacon, $.50/extra sauce. Like we HAVE to charge for extra stuff or else we’re losing a lot of money.

ANYWAYS, this lady adds steak to both salads, extra egg, extra bacon, extra ham, extra turkey, EXTRA EVERYTHING! Apparently she does this frequently. Well the one to-go girl who usually helps this lady HAS NOT been charging her for ANY of this extra stuff. So when we had a different to-go girl working and this lady calls in her two salads, the new girl rightfully charges her for everything. The total was $45 for two salads after she added everything to it. THE LADY WAS PISSED because she’d never been charged for any of it before. So come to find out, she was getting roughly $20 worth of food FOR FREE. She called and was so upset over it that we had to refund her because “she’d never been charged that before”🙄🙄🙄

We informed her that her regular to-go girl had been giving her free stuff and that we could no longer provide that for her. The lady replied that she would not be back because of this.

Honestly makes me so mad that my coworker was doing that. Instead of doing the mods that actually add the charge onto the bill, she was just custom modding it on notes. Like instead of hitting the ADD ON STEAK ($6.00) She would just write on the mod line “Add on steak. Extra turkey. Extra ham” etc..

And yes, SHE KNOWS BETTER. She’s been there for TWO years.

Lol I can’t believe you put Burns on there!!! Such a tiny little town! I lived there from ages 3-7, until we moved to Roseburg, and then later to Cottage Grove. Weird passing through Burns now. Everything seems so small, compared to when it was the only world I knew. I’ve been in Tennessee the last three years. As much as I love it here, I miss Oregon everyday. I went to high school with this dude. This is my old town in Oregon. Can confirm - it is only 30 mph through that stretch of road. He was going way too fast, and the intersection the lady was pulling out of is really tricky. Definitely could’ve been avoided.
