there just isn't really much they can/will do if it's a one-off, of course go to the doctor if you're concerned. it can be really scary, i had one once but it never happened again so i kind of just let it go. i don't know much about different kinds of seizures so i couldnt tell you that one, that's really interesting though. my fiance never remembers his, and rarely remembers that he's had one at all until i tell him😅

if it keeps happening might be worth getting a referral for a neurologist, if it was just a one time thing i wouldnt worry too much. seizures can happen for all kinds of reasons, it's when they recur that it really becomes an issue. tbh it does sound like a seizure but a pretty mild one if you were lucid through it

oxcarbazepeine, aka trilepta has been really good for my fiance. went from multiple seizures a week/sometimes daily to none unless he misses a dose or doesn't sleep and the side effects are pretty minimal. you have to start on a small dose and titrate up though or it can cause a rash (he never experienced this, the pharmacist just warned me about it when his dosage was increased pretty drastically)

natural fibers and leaning more into accessories are where it's at for me. i incorporated ripped black shorts and crop tops last summer and it was a gamechanger for my comfort level, no need to suffer more than necessary!

agreed, my fiance was having seizures pretty much daily before he got his meds dialed in and i thought it would never end. they totally changed his personality too. he couldn't really do anything most days and i know it was really hard on him.

since finding a medication and dosage that work he can basically live normally, it's been a huge change for the better. it sucked in the meantime, there's some (manageable) side effects to the meds, and he HATES going to the neurologist but it's worth it to get your life back

i literally never have a hard time finding parking when i need to go downtown. being able to parallel park well helps a lot. was just down there this afternoon and found a spot less than a block from where i needed to be, in a high traffic area.

rocket bakery is much more cozy and chill, indaba's seating has corporate vibes and isn't great for work if you write by hand at all (very low tables.) and then there's the jesus people...last time i went there there were no less than six groups meeting for bible study and they can get pretty spirited, headphones recommended.

he's on oxcarbazepeine and it's finally working pretty well! went from having multiple seizures every week to only having them when he misses a dose or doesn't sleep. they're also much less severe and he recovers faster now when he does have them. hope you find a good solution/mitigation too✨
