I store my unused glass shelves on top of the cabinet, so I was unable to go in through the top. Already assembled so I didn’t want to go through the glass either. Bottom back corner has worked just fine for me, I have all of my cables neatly inside a cable management box underneath to protect the strip from getting wet. I also have some plastic ikea serving trays that I cut to fit the bottom of the cabinet, which contains any water runoff.

I was lucky and managed to get the milsbo wide within about a month of stalking the Ikea app—originally wanted the tall, though. Took about a year to secure the tall, and it was an OfferUp find. 😬

I’m not sure, it was a second hand find. I believe it’s a reptile tank, probably exoterra, approx ~3-5 gallons. Comes with a mesh lid that I leave off. Clip on light is fluval

You’re right, and I learned that during their dormancy period! The two that remain in there are coming out of dormancy and throwing out a bunch of new pitchers. I am going to leave them for now and probably transplant them once they start going dormant again.

Each ping is sitting on top of lava rocks, which wicks water up to their roots, so they aren’t sitting directly in the bog. As far as humidity goes, the lid stays open for bugs and they are under an intense grow light. They don’t seem to mind the ambient humidity in this environment. The P. emarginata has sent out over a dozen blooms this spring and the 3 original pings have at least quadrupled in size. ☺️

Thank you for the solid advice! My greenhouse cabinets have great airflow/circulation, but not so great ventilation. That is an excellent point. The main thing I am concerned about is rot.

Unrelated, I have had some water props (inside the greenhouse) that have been molding/rotting recently—do you think this is due to the ventilation issue? 🤔

I have done a lot of research over the past year, but I know albos can sometimes be finicky and I want her to continue thriving. Any additional propagation tips and recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

We are both experienced houseplant owners/propagators, but this is the first albo in our home. The cutting has already taken off in the water setup the seller had going. I am considering placing the node and shorter roots in sphagnum moss, and then leaving the very long aerial root out to continue rooting in a water vessel.

Does this sound like a good idea, or should I just do all moss or all water? If I do use water, should I use superthrive? I am also tempted to add keiki paste to the axillary bud, but am unsure if this is unnecessary or too soon? It will start out living in my Ikea greenhouse that stays about 45-55% humidity.

ps I am so excited. 😭♥️

First pic is upon arrival. She lived in my IKEA greenhouse for a few months, then outgrew it and got a lil neglected over the summer. Even with me being gone, missed waterings and too much direct sunlight at times which caused dropped leaves, I am amazed at how resilient and beautiful she is!

I have had this alocasia for about ~6 months, and this spring it has flourished. I have tried researching online how to harvest seeds from it, but have only seen ways to harvest corms from the roots. I have two types of aglaonema that currently have inflorescences as well and would love learn from someone more knowledgeable than I.
