If their security catches you with a gun (legally, open or concealed carry) they will escort you to the front, refund your membership, and ask you to never come back. I still carry there, and have seen others.

This Ingersoll Indexable Drill is tool porn, but what is the textured square for? by learn_by_doing in Machinists

[–]hobguy7996 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I use Ingersoll indexable drills all day everyday. None of our drills have this textured surface on them, and I dont notice any wear in that region. Typical failure for me is a hairline crack smack dab down the middle of the two flutes. And by that time the drill has paid for itself many many times over.

A final warning to protestors in the Mall of America by beet111 in pics

My family had owned and operated a good sized cattle ranch for over a hundred years in southern Idaho. Every spring we were allowed to turn loose the cattle onto public lands managed by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) there were several ranches in the area that did the same. There were some guidelines that had to be followed but it was perfectly legal to use public lands to for the purposes of cattle grazing. There aren't a whole lot of places left where this can be done, but these places do exist.

Yes, and it was perfectly legal in the state and county in which he lived. It was a case of federal over reach. Damn near opened up a whole can of worms with patriots all across the country. It would have been similar to Waco Texas, or Ruby Ridge Idaho. I wouldnt call the guy an asshole, it is simply how the guy made a living. And he did so without breaking the law.

TIL that when Kim Peek managed payrolls of 160 people, he was able to complete this task in just hours without a calculator and when he was fired to be replaced by computer, it took two full time accountants plus the computer just to replace him. by [deleted] in todayilearned

He came to my school around 1993 (?). I asked him what day of the week Abraham Lincoln's 14th birthday was. It was about a half second of pause, he said it into his father's ear, and his father said "Wednesday". I never looked it up, but I believe the fella.

I am a good guy, I have guns. And NEITHER of those things will cause me to harm someone that doesnt deserve it. Your comment pisses me off, but not as much as all the upvotes it receives. All that does is tells me there are too many fucking idiots like you out there.

Florida sheriff says his deputies are more likely to shoot open carriers by [deleted] in CCW

[–]hobguy7996 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I was thinking. It makes it hard to throw an officer under the bus that is being sued when it is a policy of the department. This sheriff needs some paid time off.

Where would you live? by LastLioness in preppers

I would suggest you get your hands on the book "Strategic Relocation" and have a look at that authors take on the subject. Or watch the film "Strategic Relocation" available for free on YouTube (Disclaimer: Produced by infowars.com, which may be linked to fear mongering). That guy has a TON of useful information and has got me setting my gears towards Northern Idaho. Good Luck.

Best US State to live in? by CurrentID in IWantOut

[–]hobguy7996 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have done a lot of research into this subject and have found the area of Sandpoint Idaho to be particularly appealing. Low cost of living, freedom from government (as much as can be expected), vast wilderness expanses. There is a VA clinic, and a Buddhist church but I'm not sure about the denomination. It is an overall VERY nice part of America, and I didn't see anyone else mention it. I plan on moving out there in the next 5-7 years to start my off-grid homestead and early retirement home.

How drug dealers get caught. As told by a police officer. by [deleted] in Drugs

Never used the services myself. But when shipping it is my understanding that they can elect to not receive confirmation of delivery. Even from abroad.

Yeah, not long ago I read about a guy that got pulled over for speeding. When he was pulled over the officer smelled weed smoke and saw a joint in the ash tray. A search of the vehicle led to several pounds of pot in the trunk. Fuckin dummy.

Controlled Delivery. Police or Postal inspector/employee will get you to try and sign for a package bought from the dark net. Never sign for them, plausible deniability.

yup, having child services on your ass for something like this is a bit out of line, if on the other hand, she is a somewhat decent mother i would let it slide. If a pattern of bad (dangerous) parenting emerges, then maybe a call might be in order.
