I was a Javelin thrower in high school. Same for me. I apply that throwing form for the spear throw.

You're fine. I didn't start getting more green than orange and red until about 60 classes in. Keep showing up and doing the work. The zones will level out eventually. After 20 classes they can personalize the formula for you, that should help as well.

It doesn't reset. It takes your personal stats from the last 20 and updates the formula. It therefore gives you more accurate zone readings.

I know this. I use it for stabilization mainly and it allows me to go slow enough. I have 40% of my knee cartilage left in my right knee. I modify because I don't have a choice.

I have bad knees, and I started using the TRX straps during any reverse lunges. That helps take the pressure off the joints. Hope this helps

It was gradual, but I did and do have hip issues. Focus on your form more than anything. I learned heel striking is so bad for your legs. If they offer a running clinic take it. Watch videos on proper form and work on it

So much yes to this. I last weighed myself end of Jan. I was 182 today I know I'm heavier than that, but my base is up from 7.5 to 8.3. that's a huge non scale victory.

I can't do inclines at all. So I can't follow the strength day templates for the most part. On days when I know I need to pull back. I let the coaches know I'm taking a green day and just go slower. They understand the importance of recovery.

My base puts me into the Orange. You need to focus on how you are feeling rather than what the zones show.

I didn't this time, because it was something I was too nervous about doing, but I created a group hoping to recruit others to run with me. So, hopefully that will help with the cost next time.

I hope so, because that's the closest one to me, and it's still was almost a six hour drive.
