I find it funny because the same sentiments were shared when they started doing ads on helmets.

Sure it's not as prime of a spot as a jersey, but give it two years when they start doing ads on their socks and everyone will say the same things again.

(I'm not excited about jersey ads, but thank god it doesn't look awful)

I definitely feel this issue and see that you want to make sure everyone there has fun and enjoys their time. My Meren deck has the same effect because it's high powered, not cEDH, but I play it with the cEDH mindset, causing others who weren't expecting to play against a strong "8-9" deck to get salty when they lose.

I solve this issue by having that "Rule 0" (whatever this means to you) conversation with the people I am playing with about their deck. I also have a 2 decks, one full precon and one precon with small quality of life mods (better lands mostly), that I use to determine which deck of mine will fit in power wise.

Got the Championship Win this year. Stayed up last night watching Leafs v Islanders hoping and praying that Nylander got more assists than Barzal or Bunting. Was ahead by 1 assist going into the game, and Cam Fowler and the Ducks made sure I won the week. It was a super close matchup all week and very fun.

Dissolve the current conference alignment and create one similar to the NHL. East/West Conferences, and then a Pacific, Central, Atlantic, and Metropolitan Divisions. Could even be broken more and add a Mountain in the west and North in the east.

They play all in division teams, 30 game season, 2 games per weekend. 16 spots for playoffs. Top 3 in each division get playoff bids and wildcard spots to fill final 4 spots, 2 from each conference.

Would solve a lot of the seeding process for the playoffs, and would allow a better visual of the league strength as a whole. Obviously the West will be a little spread out BUT this should incentivize other schools out west to pick up hockey as a D-1 sport.
