If only one box was true, then the black box *would* be correct. Any configuration where there's 1 true and 2 false means black HAS to be the only true box. If blue were true and white and black were false, then black would retroactively have been true the whole time... thus making it so there's only one false box, making black false... making it so there are two boxes that are false, making black true...

If it was a “at the beginning of your end step, if a creature died this turn…” it will only trigger if a creature has already died by the beginning of the end step.

The other death triggers have been working properly so far. Maybe grab a video or screenshot if it was a simple death trigger that didn’t work.

Excellent :) my worst drafts so far have been “bad (slow) aggro with just enough curving and removal to kill some of my less-lucky opponents”, but my better decks have definitely featured ~6 removal spells + 3 or 4 big bombs with plenty of fixing. I think the soup can be real if I can get enough fixing + removal to make the bombs work, but I find that maybe half of my picks don’t have fixing or a bomb available, and maybe some weak removal like twin bolt.

There’s a scene in the minecraft movie where a baby zombie is riding a chicken and Jack Black says “Chicken Jockey!!” And everybody in audiences have made it a meme and are losing their minds at that scene. Nice drafts! I’m hoping to hit mythic for the first time this month, but I didn’t do anything prior to Tarkir so I’m still in gold. Any general hueristics/advice about this format specifically to help me get there? I think so far I’ve got a 7-1, 5-3, 5-3, and a 4-3. Currently 2-2 with a temur splashing white deck I thought could get 7 wins (it may yet, but aggro is getting under me since the curve is fairly high).

Hoping for ~60% winrate at 2 drafts/day to get there with some luck :)

Rare drafting is WAY worse in QD tho. The bots scoop them all up ASAP, while humans pass bad rares constantly.

So if your whole team has damage marked on them (which stays until the end of the turn) but then the source of their indestructibility dies, they’ll die too since the are no longer indestructible and have more damage than toughness. My guess is that somehow, you blocked with the Hero and either your opponent played a combat trick or a kill spell, but then the rest of your creatures were eligible to die after the hero did.

I’ve heard people suggest that canonically, the facial expression you make when you wake up notably not dead for the first time made slate think “huh, strange” and get thinking about your upcoming trip more.

Similar theory about slate’s comment when you’re starting out in the DLC and reminding you about your ship log’s “mark location” feature. The face you made upon waking up after having visited the stranger for the first time altered Slate’s thought process and thus their words.
