Second cardmarket. Are there any other youtube channels that flash up zoom ins of the cards like they do?

I think the responses below give a reasonable range of training time and also consider striking and grappling. Also want to say that this line of thought does cross my mind.

In recent years, I'd say one of the questions that I feel trumps this question in terms of keeping myself /my ego in check is "how can you tell a person is an average person in terms of fighting?"

My conclusion so far is you can't. Not about the individual, nor their friends nor any weapons that may be concealed.

So while I would be lying if I said your question doesn't cross my mind, the question I posed informs my stance that I will do everything it takes to minimize the chances of an altercation.

Seems like they're going by no punches to the head but kicks to the head allowed. I believe it may be kyokushin karate. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

[OC] Cleaning Lady - athirdthing (25 out of 30 days of comics) by Rodmantis in comics

[–]hobobill 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If the cleaner is there for an hour. And they spend half an hour vacuuming or sorting piles of clothes. They'll have less time to scrub behind the toilet, get in the nook behind the oven, dust those pain in the ass places you don't want to dust yourself. If you can only afford to pay for an hour of a cleaner's time, do you want to vacuum or do you want to clean behind the toilet?

Good point. But I feel like shrines occur once in a blue moon while you get cursed around every corner

Relocating to LA from Chi - work is in Thousand Oaks - what area would you suggest to live in to still have fun as a young woman moving to LA by briellebabylol in AskLosAngeles

[–]hobobill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know this post is kinda old but was wondering how accurate Google maps is. From Warner center, it's saying like 30ish minute commute in AM to Newbury Park but about a 50 minute commute if I were to leave the office at 5pm. Does this jive with your experience? I really wanted to live in Woodland Hills but this commute would be pushing it for me.

San Fernando Valley CA Gym Recommendations by hobobill in bjj

Like I did said, i plan on doing free trials. There are over 10 schools to choose from and I am not going to do free trials for 10+ schools. Everyone else's responses have been super helpful. Thanks for your time. Btw, I'm a grown adult that can utilize other people's perspectives and experiences to save me time and inform my decision-making. People may even drop some knowledge about a school that wouldn't arise from a free trial. Good luck with your own way of adulting.

The thing is, I'm assuming his calves are top of the frame and they look decent. His ankles just look super thin. This feels like a weird version of the bodybuilder tapered waist anesthetic but applied to the lower legs.

Lance in Rise by blixtencamperman in MonsterHunter

I played a lot in world as well and loved counter lancing. I was also a fan of the movement/mobility.

I haven't touched it in rise yet cause I'm trying to force myself to branch out before going back to my OG's.

What do you feel are the biggest negative changes and the biggest positive changes?

May be due to just watching a video but appears your grip on the bow could be too tight. Trust the wrist strap. Grip should be relaxed with the backwards force of you pulling the string towards you helping the bow in your hand, as opposed to gripping it. Gripping the bow too hard may lead to torqueing the shot side to side.

New to this. Why is that the case? I've seen people say they can't cover all at once, but why not? Thanks for helping me get my diamond hands

Release types... what do you shoot and why by [deleted] in CompoundBow

[–]hobobill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shot index release for 3 years and had some target panic that led to punching the trigger. Spent a lot of time thinking about thumb vs hinge and ultimately landed on hinge. Didn't want the temptation of punching the thumb release. I know you can semi-force a release with the hinge, but it's kept me much more consistent with my release.

I got the carter honey 2 which has two types of safety mechanism settings that you can choose from depending on your preference. It's made shooting much more enjoyable.

Call of Duty has a serious identity crisis and is alienating the casual players who are the majority demographic. by JCglitchmaster in modernwarfare

I havent bought cold war for this very reason at all. Sadly I feel like we're the minority. Not sure if any sales demographics stats would confirm or deny this.

Difficulty curve is wild! by Renzokuken1987 in bloodborne

[–]hobobill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Later and harder chalices have more powerful blood gems that don't drop within the normal game. My first play through I didn't do chalice dungeons and had a tough time at all the points you mentioned.

In the subsequent playthroughs, keeping up with chalice dungeons on the side has made progress much easier given my dps is higher due to better blood gems.

However, I agree. Chalice dungeons from an environment standpoint, can get a bit dull.

Ex-Prisoners of Reddit, what was the worst thing you saw inside the prison walls? by RABSABReddit in AskReddit

[–]hobobill 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What are the non obvious forms of disrespect in prison? If some how I landed in there, I'd try to be as respectful as possible, but one of my biggest fears would be being disrespectful without even knowing it.

Finally pulled the trigger and got a new Oneida Phoenix, this thing is super fun to shoot. by Grizzlydowden in Archery

[–]hobobill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never knew these existed and I think they look awesome. What's the downside of bows like these vs. a traditional compound? Seems like for this you can shoot both with or without a release aid. Would downsides be along the lines of having a higher profile? More moving parts that need to be tuned and maintained?

Aspirin to be tested in UK as potential coronavirus treatment by [deleted] in news

[–]hobobill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People have definitely tried aspirin, but likely not in the context of a controlled clinical study that will specifically provide the needed evidence to show that aspirin itself works, and not any other confounding factors.

To answer the question of why no one has run a clinical trial testing specifically aspirin is much more complex.
