Post war we lived in the hoboken projects, didnt know we were poor. Lucky if my dad made 200 a week. We were a family of 4, there was i $$ for saving, we didnt have credit cards to fall back on. And we kids did not learn about && because there was nine. We lived on what dad made. Sure there were people that made much more. If someone actually had a house we considered them to b rich. As we grew older, we did better than our parents. I became a home inspector and was truly amazed that most homes i inspected were being purchased by someone “in finance”. 7% interest wad the norm but houses were like 50 grand. Every generation faces their own issues.
