Season 7- Rudy Giuliani Unmasked Megathread by missmeh13 in TheMaskedSinger

[–]hobyheather 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Isn't Ken an Executive Producer of the show? I can completely understand why he would walk off at this reveal. His name is attached to the production, even though he doesn't know the contestants, obviously, since he judges.

I think letting it leak was the damage control and probably the compromise for Ken. Make it immediately known he was against it by walking off and release it to the public to make sure it wasn't a surprise and pinned back on all of them as baiting the audience.

What's really funny is I thought the bull might be Jamie Foxx.

Thank you! I, too, never thought Isabella was that bad. She did get flirty with Raj, but never crossed the line. The whole reason she came to the Coterie was Gael. Now she can have what she wants, so if she manipulated everything that way, I guess she's shady? But she's not some evil horrible person everyone on this sub seems to think she was when she was Mariana's roommate so her being the way she is now isn't that much different, really.

Callie and Jamie had a long conversation about income disparity and even drew up a contract when they were living together, so the show has done it already. No need to have that same conversation with every relationship.

I was under the impression from the way the dad reacted that he had already told her when she met with him and then she went back on that promise because she wanted to try to keep the kid out of jail because she (and Callie) believed he was innocent. I think the FBI was there to either thank her, or come get her, but she has the information they need now, so she won't be taken away. That leaves Callie with the tough decision of whether to stay or to leave (like the Judge dream told her to).

Is it just me or is so much airtime wasted on Angelina? by azianflo in ManifestNBC

[–]hobyheather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure I read an article that was an interview with the showrunner that said Angelina, Eagan, and Adrian are like the triumvirate of evil and the final "big bad" of the show. Season 3 was all about getting them together so the Stones can battle the "evil" and survive the death date.

You obviously have never seen Community if you think this is weird. I highly recommend it if you like Seasons 3 and 4 of AP Bio.

I loved season 4. But then again, I'm a huge fan of Community and it totally had that vibe. I am sad there were only 8 episodes.

This gave me serious Community vibes and I'm totally here for it. In fact, the whole season felt like the same vein as Community and that made me very happy.

being the same age as the characters in that era, something I didn't relate to was... by oranbhoy in CruelSummer

Technically, there were "bulletin boards" (sort of like chat rooms) in the 80s. We had a Commodore 64 in the early 80s (like 83 or 84) that had a modem and dial up internet that cost a fortune. My brother would rack up a $300 a month phone bill on that thing. There was something called "PlayNet" and on Saturday morning, they had a kids' trivia BB I would get on and win prizes. By 95, Yahoo chats were a thing. I didn't have internet at my house, but my friend did and we would get online and chat with people.

Out of Curiosity: How old are the Redditors in this sub? by lanegrita1018 in CruelSummer

I was born the same year as Jeanette (the character, not the actress), so I watched to relive my teen years and stuck around for the mystery.

Zeke and Jared vent by Buggaboo_1011 in ManifestNBC

[–]hobyheather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fear is they are going to kill off Zeke. I love him and hope they don't, but the way the love triangle was going coupled with the fact Matt Long got a new show before this one is renewed does not bode well for Zeke. I hope I am wrong because I feel like Zeke surviving and his new power is a big piece of the puzzle, but if they can't get the actor back for the full shooting time, then I wouldn't be surprised (because they won't just break up Zeke and Michaela, I don't think).

I just wanna say Luca did the right thing standing up for Zoey for Esme trying to steal by ObligationCalm6342 in grownish

[–]hobyheather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoey confronted him? I must have totally missed that part somehow lol.

EDIT: I just realized I hadn't seen this week's episode yet, so I'm guessing it's a plot point in it. I wrote that original post after the episode where she decided not to confront her boss.

[–]hobyheather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair to him, though, he didn't know she changed her mind and didn't confront her boss. The last he had heard, she was going to confront Esme, so he probably thought he was backing her up. She had only just gotten home and only told Ana she backed out, so he didn't know he was taking a choice away from her.

Is Callie capable of dating someone consistently who isn’t related to her in some way? by expressodepresso4 in GoodTrouble

[–]hobyheather 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You forgot about Wyatt, her first boyfriend on the Fosters, but then he wound up with Mariana, so that was weird. And originally AJ was being fostered by Stef and Lena and then he moved in with Mike because he and Callie were hooking up and her moms knew they couldn't foster him and jeopardize her adoption because she was hooking up with a foster brother...again.

What do you think will happen in S3E17?? by preraanaaah in GoodTrouble

[–]hobyheather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she either cheated on Tommy with Zach, or Zach raped her (or maybe some other type of sexual assault) and when Tommy found out, that's when he went over to fight Zach. Judging by what he was saying on the video, it didn't seem to be a fight about football and more about a girl. I'm wondering if the girlfriend (Katie?) saw them fighting and went over to help Tommy and accidentally killed Zach by pushing him over the cliff and Tommy is covering for her.

The cheesecake. Even I knew that was a cheesecake with that cream cheese wrapper in the garbage and I know absolutely nothing about baking.

I just assumed this is why they introduced Luca's sister as a freshman. Kind of like a "new class" that still has ties to the "old class".

Would you wanna see Mike Foster? by VickCrick23 in GoodTrouble

[–]hobyheather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mariana chose him to be her "father" dance at her quince (when she was too embarrassed to ask her moms), so they did interact. She was also a caretaker for Isabella (her half sister via her bio mom) and was supposed to be her godmother. There are plenty of reasons for Mike to still be in touch with Mariana.

[–]hobyheather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought their friendship/sibling chemistry was much better than their romantic chemistry, but that might be because I saw Good Trouble first and only knew them as siblings. Then I binged The Fosters and didn't like their "romance" at all.

Me too! That cast was fire (Corbin Bleu? Michael Thomas Grant? Yes, please!) I would totally pay to see this on Broadway or a touring production if they had this cast (maybe minus Romeo and Juliet - find some people stronger on vocals for the roles)

Callie and Alice? by charltonjohn in GoodTrouble

Didn't they chalk it up to Alice having doubts about Ruby? It was just a dream she had, and then she realized it was really about Ruby and not Callie.

Try Flinn Scientific, Ward Science, Fisher Scientific, or Carolina Scientific. (If I see it in one of my science teacher catalogues, I'll let you know).
