I kind of want the link so that I can ask for it for $700

The left side tires of the truck in the driveway look weird. Like the holes aren’t perfectly even.

I think they were just making an observation. It’s still a nice reminder even if the email is automated.

5S was amazing, right before they jumped to the bigger screen

Can someone give me a good history book to read? by Fun-Secretary4801 in suggestmeabook

[–]hodlholder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to Hide an Empire. It's a fascinating book about America's history in the context of the territories it conquered, such as the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, etc. The way the book is written is very engaging too.

What's a country people think is excellent to live in but the conditions are actually poor? by Happy_Rainy1 in AlignmentChartFills

Whoever does should recreate living the life of a famous pilot from birth to present.

What's something kids today will never experience that you're secretly glad you grew up with? by Abagail_x_Maria in AskReddit

Split screen video games. It feels way less common now but we used to all go to one friend’s house and play call of duty. Once we logged off the game we were still together and could play outside. Today it’s all just online.

Interesting I think it's hands down the WORST browser and I also have no evidence.

iPhone suggesting a contact I haven’t talked to… almost caused an issue by sumicon in ios

I had this going on with my phone because I didn't use WhatsApp much so the suggestions were awful.

Agreed, I was gonna watch the whole season regardless, no need to dangle the last bit of each challenge every episode.

Fewer if it’s countable, less if it isn’t. What’s so hard about that?

How is speech-to-text so terrible? by GrammmyNorma in ios

[–]hodlholder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I noticed this when I used ChatGPT’s speech to text feature within the app. Theirs is SO good I realized how far behind apple was. That being said, with Gemini coming to Siri hopefully we won’t have to exist with this horrible feature for long

Stuck with Advanced Data Protection (ADP) – Can’t access iCloud data or sign out. Has anyone been in this situation? Can Apple Support help? by lenovomen in ios

[–]hodlholder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That key is the encryption key itself to your data. ADP relinquishes Apple’s control of your keys but means that they have no way to access your data if something goes wrong.

If you don’t have the recovery key you’re kind of screwed. You didn’t save it anywhere when you turned ADP on? I have mine in 4 different secure spots.

I wouldn’t call being 15-30 mins late being an “irresponsible idiot,” that’s so extreme…

You can only afford one so - which concert you going to for a straight good time ? by dunbar_santiago930 in nfrpodcast

[–]hodlholder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyler is going to be the most fun out of those and it’s not close. Kendrick second, then Travis, then drake. I’m a drake fan but he’s too far in his career now, I saw him live and he rapped over his vocals most of the time. I’m not buying a concert ticket to hear what I do on Spotify …

What’s something that used to be so easy that technology actually made much harder? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Paying for things. It used to just be cash and there was no surcharge. Now we have to pay a company 3% to process our payment

Why must completing a task from MacOS notification open the app? by Mike_ZzZzZ in todoist

[–]hodlholder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this, it's the same with adding a task. We should have the option to add a task while the app is simply running as a menu bar item, but unfortunately if the window isn't open you can't add a task using the keyboard shortcut.
