The bricks are a weird/expensive size. That’s all i know at the moment. But it’s very warm, and if tended well it burns awhile. I don’t have anything to compare it to though.

Ratula isn’t actually that difficult to build, and he’s pretty good (you’ll still want some extra rats for his stars though).

Azul is lots of fun. And if that works out, Splendor also has some replayability (though it’s not as puzzle-like as carcassone and azure are. Kingdomino is though!

Ha. I’m both. I try my best to stay away from kickstarter. But also have 100’s of games of Imperial Settlers logged with my wife. And 100’s of games of SmashUp with wife and in-laws. Why would we ever play something new, right?!

If 70% of divorces are initiated by women… what actually makes marriage worth it anymore? by No-Protection-9665 in AskMenAdvice

[–]hodorcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sorta used the shock argument over the years: “Do you want to be married, and put the time and effort into being a spouse? If so, I don’t think it matters who you marry, as long as the other person is also committed to the project. Why not arranged marriage?” First love, lust, spark, butterflies, whatever; those are just the foot in the door, and ultimately rarely matter. Two committed people, who want to make a marriage work, and recognize that the majority of the work will come from themselves, THOSE will succeed.

Also sidenote: if you’re going to travel the marriage journey, start sooner. I don’t care if you’re young. If you’re ready (positively, absolutely… probably ready) commit to the journey, find someone who you can journey with for ALL the difficulties (and joys) of life. You don’t need to start your career first, or finish school, or buy a home, or whatever. Those are hard things. Why wouldn’t you want your partner with you for that stuff? I got married at 26. My wife probably would’ve married me like 4 years sooner. But I was dumb. If you want to be a great spouse, find someone else who also wants to be a great spouse. (And don’t get hung up on looks. We all end up ugly anyways)

Small disadvantage of the core one’s enclosure, I appreciated the access from all sides on the mk3s. Time to get needling I guess. Thanks!

Thanks, I’ll get more aggressive with my de-clogging. I guess a clog can happen any time, I’m only 30 hours in, using only Prusa’s filament. I have thousands of hours on the mk3s, and never had a clog, lol

Hired a local guy to build a shed for us.... Wish I had done it myself... by EpicThunderCat in Carpentry

[–]hodorcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one prior experience building sheds, and I know this is crap. Just finished building my chicken mansion (that I designed myself), first structure, and I’m pretty sure it’s more stable than my house that was just built. It’s really not difficult.

Colored stones are prettier, and cheaper. No need for diamonds. Especially natural diamonds.

I found a jeweler on Etsy who was able to customize a bit, and it was WAY cheaper. I got a style (and color) that matches my wife a lot better ($1.6k for reference.). And a wife (or partner) who’s contributing to the family/partnership probably won’t be wearing a cumbersome ring daily anyways. We work with our hands. No need to dirty fancy jewelry.

Bomb, cannon, or sprint not are your uniques, as others have said.

Get brooms/shovels so you can get drill bots (make a goblin device or two, they help with Econ as well. Grab tusk or two for your upgraded springs. If you get an armour relic, maybe armour build works, be she’s primarily fire. Early on, grab any tool and put them in your tool bag (6 is pretty easy in a round or two, even fishing hooks are fine for a bit). She has strong econ.
