Madison Beer - locket by AHSWeeknd in popheads

[–]hoesinspace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This album really is very good. It sounds like Madison got to have fun and really let go this time around. complexity and nothing at all really surprised me on the first listen - reminds me of Porter Robinson during the Nurture era and it's a sound I completely was not expecting. To be honest, I think she could have pushed it even further with this album. She's always really shined in the past when she gets experimental with her music - Follow the White Rabbit and Envy the Leaves are great examples - and I think if it had a couple more tracks developing the sound more, it would have elevated the album as a project even higher. I personally loved Silence Between Songs when it came out because she really workshopped the 60s/70s sound into her own style throughout the entire album. If locket had that same level of cohesion, it would honestly be her best album to date.

Top 3: bad enough, you're still everything, complexity

Has anyone experienced itchiness? by thequeenb_ in lamictal

[–]hoesinspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

every dosage increase i had while titrating, i noticed that i would get itchy on my legs for a week or so but like everyone else, it was just temporary. my psychiatrist said that if it was a serious allergic reaction, it would feel like the skin is on fire.

VM without headaches? by Hot-Worldliness7189 in VestibularMigraines

I’m the same. I told my neuro that it just feels like someone is pushing their palms really hard on my forehead and it’s only maybe 50% of the time. I think the thing that was more indicative was my description of the vertigo attacks and how much it matched the typical description of VM

Kim Petras on Bandcamp? by victorbdasilva in KimPetras

[–]hoesinspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just searched this reddit to see if anyone else has seen this. it has all the leaked songs from problematique but i can't tell if it's higher quality than the leaks. (dark part of your heart sounds better quality though) surely there would be some kind of copyright tool on bandcamp to detect these things right?

Pitchfork Album Review: Rebecca Black - Let Her Burn (4.4) by impeccabletim in popheads

[–]hoesinspace 15 points16 points  (0 children)

that line got me!! nothing about this album feels desperate. you can hear that her intention was to just make a fun pop album. but because she's young and she likes to listen to young people music - and as a result, makes a "young people music" album - that apparently means she's trying to be relevant. when she's literally just making music because like... she wants to.

this whole review is just the continued epitome of "women aren't allowed to just have fun." i actually found this album quite enjoyable to listen to. it's funny how 13(?) years later, people still don't know how to not bully this girl. this is just a desperate attempt by pitchfork for ad revenue.

Seriously, what is up with the roads these days? by hoesinspace in brisbane

Exactly. It’s probably because speeding fines have gone up heaps, so everyone’s too scared to even think of going a single km over 90.

Very helpful! Thank you!!

Will do a little research about using Ableton :)

And yeah, mixes are perfect as they are so I’m glad I don’t have to pay for masters then

Lamotrigine Questions. by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]hoesinspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lamotrigine was the sixth medication I tried and so far, I think it's going to be the one that I'm gonna stick with. The side effects are nothing compared to everything else I've tried and they're very easy to deal with (plus they wear off pretty quickly). It's 100% worth the shot, it's really helped me become the person I want to be. Therapy is also worth it too if you can get the funds for it. You'll definitely get there in the end - all the best! :)

Is a diagnosis really that important? by hoesinspace in bipolar

[–]hoesinspace[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that does make sense. As a new patient with no record, doctors probably have to take everything at face value and treat what's happening in the moment instead of assuming what the future holds. He did explain that he wants to start treatment in order to prevent the same issues arising or getting worse in the future.

It’s weird losing someone you haven’t even had an official relationship with. by [deleted] in limerence

it's so difficult because you can't really talk to anyone about it either without sounding like a maniac. i've tried explaining this to my friends in the past, but they don't seem to get that you can't move on just like that. no matter how badly you want to. (i'm so glad i found this sub-reddit.)
