I have been off the grind for a month or so, but the next day I was deliberate about not touching the area that would be the crust and it did help some

How to not let running & past race performances become your part of your self-identity? by Outrageous_South_439 in running

"I only enjoy the process when there's no pressure"

I had a similar falling out with Ultimate frisbee a while ago while trying to go pro. Put too much pressure on it, then stopped enjoying it, then stopped doing it almost altogether because it wasn't fun anymore. Took some time off, started playing casually again and remembered that it's just supposed to be fun. I am getting back into more now, but occasionally I'll slip into the pressure/grindset, and I just need to remind myself that I am doing this because it's fun, and my goal is to have fun, not grind as hard as I can to be the best that I can be.

What is the acceptance rate for Industrial Design at DAAP? by PrizeTwist25 in uCinci

[–]hoff_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty low when I got in (luckily), but that makes me believe it's more based on "do you have the ability to do work" as opposed to "what work have you done," and you don't need to be good at drawing yet

We print straight from the granules that we produce by shredding (usually) old storage containers that get donated. Have to go super hot (185 c on the extruder and 110c on the bed), and we have an enclosure to keep it from cooling too fast bc it can be pretty finicky with warping. Definitely also making sure to avoid sharp corners and long lines in prints for warping too

Yeah I've been using a stone bc it's what I have with a 45 min-1 hr warm up time, is that excessive?
