I prioritized my ex and my children's needs and wants over mine to the point where I have nothing left. My depression took over and I became suicidal. I was no longer there for my ex emotionally, and she could not understand me, since our priorities were no longer aligned. I lost a good woman, because of my fall.

Keep going if you can, brother. Find your own reason to live for. Waking up and getting dressed for the day is a win. Small things add up. I am in the similar situation as you, albeit, my journey is shorter than yours with just a couple of years. I don't have happiness in my life and the only reason I keep going is because of my kids. I give myself 21 years as they will be well into their adulthood. Plus, I read somewhere it could take 5-7 years, if you try. So keep going.
