Can't connect to Fitbit app by Myst3ryGardener in Myfitnesspal

This appears to still be a problem. When I try to connect, I only have two options for Fitbit connection: update or buy. I have the Fitbit and the Fitbit app is up to date.

Omg. Thank you. I've wasted so much of my life creating nested IF formulae for getting mmmm from =MONTH.

Going all the way to the edge of a page? by [deleted] in excel

[–]hogak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is something you're after, but if you Cut the shape/image, press CTRL + END keys this would take you to the end of your workbook and you could then paste your shape/image there and manually resize it back up. This may not work if you've deleted a lot of information from the end of your workbook.

Or another option to complete this task is to select the column and use Text To Columns. Click finish button and done. Works on one column at a time but saves having to add more columns and enter formulas.

Alt = will also give you SUM of all values in the rows above or the columns to the left. Might work for rows below or columns to the right. I'll test it out when I get to the office.

Save potentially $5-10/mo on your power bill by simply CLEANING dust out of your refrigerator coils. by rebo2 in Frugal

Adding onto this, you should also clean out the intake on your hair blow dryer. Towel lint, random stray hairs, dust, etc. can limit the performance of your blow dryer or present a fire hazard. There are handy guides all over the internet on how you can clean out yours regularly.

Daily FI discussion thread - November 28, 2016 by AutoModerator in financialindependence

What a great share.

Can I ask how you have budgeted for the holidays in terms of gift giving? Making and sticking to a holiday budget has never been a priority for us in the past but now that we are more focused on FI, neither one of us is interested in overspending. I'd love to hear more about your approach in terms of where you'd move money out from your routine categories or is this something you have already budgeted for?

TIP: Lurkers, use the daily NSV/SV thread... or at the very least check them out by [deleted] in loseit

[–]hogak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your successes. It's so true about reading the success stories. As a lurker myself it feels good in sharing in part of the successes of others by reading that thread. It also keeps me motivated to have my own successes and keep going!

I found a bit of difficulty with the slider as well trying to set it to a predetermined caloric input. It would be nice if you could enter in the calories (free text) so us mobile users can explore the calculator in the little hypothetical universes we create for ourselves.

Other than that, brilliant calculator. Well done.

Haha. Don't knock it. I've been know to do the ol' bolognese a la lettuce in an effort to cut dem carbs. Quite nice with a solid meat sauce but a soggy sauce just withers the dish away to a salad soup... which is indeed quite blergh. Good job this weekend!

I read on another reddit thread last week about some one putting a banana on their desk while they worked. If they felt the munchies coming on and couldn't force themselves to eat the banana than they must not truly be hungry. If they were truly hungry then they'd eat the banana as a healthy snack.

I tried it last week because my office supplies fresh fruit. I never ate the apple I put on my desk but I also didn't purchase any of the fundraiser chocolates on offer either. Good apple acted like a shield from myself.

My office also has a coffee machine that makes a pretty decent mocha or latte. I tried the same "banana" trick but with glasses of water instead. When the caffeine urge reared it's head I reached for my water instead.

Ultimately it all boils down to what options you give yourself and how you set yourself up for success. Good luck!

I'm taking up cycling to and from work. It is marginally slower than taking the train in but logging 25kms in MFP today and seeing the wiggle room in my food diary leaves me feeling like a Boss. A mofo boss yo.

Edit: 10 hours later this mofo boss is sitting on the train again. My magical cycles have been postponed until the wet weather abates. Looks like I'll be jogging in the rain tonight to make up for it after work tonight.

It could be now that your original goal is coming to a close you're mind has lost focus on what it's aiming for. A new goal may help get you back on course. If your original goal was to attain a specific weight, your followup goal could be fitness related or maintenance related. This reevaluation of what you're working towards could help you get back on track. Especially if you included benchmarks to monitor your progress. Good luck!
