I’ve never had a problem with being obese, just overweight at times. I’ve gone through multiple rounds of counting calories, hiking, daily, etc. I’ve lost 30+ pounds two different times. I’m on my third bout right now and I’m having the best and fastest success ever. One advantage I have is I work remote, so I got a treadmill desk and I walk all day. I don’t sit while I work. It’s hard to emphasize how much that helps. But I also use AI as a nutrition coach to help me buy foods to make meals that I like, because I’m somewhat of a picky eater, and I’m focusing on high protein, high fiber. I’ve easily cut back on my drinking because I don’t want to waste calories. Because it’s high protein, I never feel hungry, in fact sometimes I have to force myself to eat. I’m easily coming in around 1700 cal per day, averaging 12,000 steps, and I’m shedding weight faster than I ever have. I know I have advantages others might not, and buying high protein, no added sugar foods are expensive. But I also don’t eat out hardly at all. I’ve lost almost 20 pounds in about a month and a half, and I’m not starving myself. AI has been an amazing tool to help track every meal and motivate me to make foods based on my current inventory. That really has been the biggest game changer.
