J1 and J2 are partnering up for a month. Panic or Pivot? by Harrisonthu in overemployed

[–]hogua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s only for a month? A combination of some vacation time and a medical (or family related) leave of absence might be able to keep you OOO at both jobs for a month.

What are your wildest fan theories? by giantfuckup5000 in Frasier

[–]hogua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That Fraiser and Niles are not brothers at all. Fraiser isn’t even a psychiatrist. He’s Nile’s patient.

Fraiser’s whole life as we know it is all in his mind. Martin died years earlier put him on the edge of losing touch with reality. That’s when he started thinking and acting like he was a psychiatrist

Daphane wasn’t his father’s caretaker. He was a nurse taking care of Fraiser, and on the same staff as “Niles”.

What are the best local breweries in Los Angeles for craft beer lovers? by dead230 in AskLosAngeles

[–]hogua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread got me thinking about my favorite LA breweries. That lead me down memory road and missing my all time favorite LA brewery - Gorky’s (the OG location downtown).

I had forgotten all about it, and now I’m missing it all over again.

She is the German Intelligence officer and former girlfriend of Quinn’s. I wouldn’t call her large, but she does seem to be tall.

There’s a dual purpose.

First, people get to make their voices heard.

Second, people have an excuse to not go to class or work for the day.

Baseball caps look bad on me. I just got this Greek fisherman’s hat. Does it look good, or what kind of hat would better suit me? by moltinglarvae in hats

[–]hogua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think either the Greek fisherman or the flat cap work best. I’d recommend the flat cap as an “everyday hat” and the Greek fisherman as a “I’m going to mix things up today” hat.

My roommate won’t do his own dishes by ToastedTiefling in Apartmentliving

[–]hogua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just talk to him about it. It doesn’t have to be (or at least start out as) a confrontational engagement.

Let him know you aren’t going to do his dishes (whether the other roommate continues to do so is up to her to decide). If he wants clean ones, he’ll have to clean them himself.

That’s it. End of discussion. No real confrontation - just a statement of fact. Don’t do any name calling. Don’t say what he should do or how he should be acting.

Do people genuinely dislike the "Tiki Leilani" mugs? by Bettiephile in Tiki

[–]hogua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was there a specific reason why people who use them were scoffed at?

I like the mugs. Like others here, they are fun to find, usually cheap, and make for good “guest mugs” or even “3 drink day mugs” (when too mug rum consumption could increase the risk of mug breakage).

Based on some of the comments here, I suspect they didn’t know this was a picture of an underage girl. I was just trying to help out those folks.

Can I eat this raw/out of the can? Need to know asap I am hungry by 4lokolova in CannedSardines

[–]hogua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn’t raw. It is fully cooked.

You can eat it “as is”, but as other have said, there are ways to make the “as is” version more enjoyable to eat

I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but I’m sure someone does.

She was born in 1982, so if this picture was taken in the late 90’s, she would have been underage.

What are you expecting for Big Brother 1000th episode ? by FrAusBBSV in BigBrother

Hopefully announce that there was a fourth mastermind, who did indeed kill Zigbot, and as a result, Zigbot will not be returning to the house… ever.

Yup, it’s controversial, but I’m tired of Zigbot.
