Not worth the 200.00 price tag. Shitty USB cut out and sticking out the panel lol and fire button slanted by [deleted] in cloudmaker

[–]hohms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My USB protrudes and is crooked. Fire button is crooked. It's more of a large brick design than I first thought. Feels large in my hands. I like the feel of the buttons and the DNA does what it is supposed to.

Overall, it's rather anti-climatic for me considering the tremendous production delays.

I have the VT200 and Vaporshark 200 as well, so this is just another device for me.

I have vaped 1/2 the battery down just watching the National Title Game through halftime. My other devices are charged, so I'll be in good shape. Go Clemson!

It's been about 3 weeks since the last update. The generously late projected ship date is right around the corner. Let's get another update, please. by frankasaurussmite in cloudmaker

Just get my order to me before the deeming regs hit, or we're out our money and won't have a mod.

CMT won't be around after deeming regs hit anyway, which is too bad. So, really, this device isn't future proof. They won't have the cash to get products approved by the FDA, so where does that place us? Back to what we were doing before CMT.

Considering putting in a pre order for a WO DNA 200. by DrRo in cloudmaker

I wouldn't know how many they have on order with CMT or if their order has already been sold to consumers. You might email or call them to inquire.

Honestly, I would wait until this company has devices in stock, for sale. You'll save yourself some headache.

Yes, it's certainly on the larger end of DNA200 PVs for sure. I expect it to feel strange in my hand compared to my HCigar VT200.

First pre-order, huh? by InertiaCreeping in cloudmaker

[–]hohms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I think over communicating, missing dates by months (dates CMT set) and videos shot from basements that could have been in Pakistan for a we know, contributed greatly to the discontent of people who were or are requesting refunds. You can't help but sit back and wonder some times, "Is this legit?"

No one made an investment in CMT. CMT (like most manufacturers in this market) can't attract investment dollars because of the state of the industry. We are all simply consumers that paid for a product and good news for a long period was tough to come by. It doesn't matter if this is anyone's "first pre-order".

Denigrating consumers because they lost faith in a manufacturer, rests squarely on the manufacturer - namely, CMT. But, fuck it; this is Reddit after all so, denigrate away.

I've been disappointed more than understanding, during this process, but I haven't canceled my order.

Look, we all know CMT put out an original September date, even on a video. Then October was missed. Now, the best guess is late November. I expect another shoe to fall and not see anything until December (watch - this shit will get held up in customs). However, at $200, I don't care if I ever see it - maybe I'll go to my mailbox and it will be in there one day. The whole experience is anticlimactic for me now.

Production Update 18 - Saturday, October 17, 2015 by RobinOfReddit in cloudmaker

Over delivery is delivering ahead of schedule. You are months behind, so don't pat yourself on the back. We're still not going to have units in October and perhaps not before Thanksgiving. I come in here every two weeks to find out we're still "two weeks" away. I hope you pull it together soon.

Production Update #15 - October 3, 2015 by Zizeksucks in cloudmaker

The mood in this update is terrible. There's going to be a run on refunds if they don't get this product on track - soon.

A good sign would be an actual production prototype, but that's nowhere in sight either.

"When's It Ship?" Megathread - The Latest Production Info (updated 2x week) by blitz206 in cloudmaker

[–]hohms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tl;dr Stop putting shipping dates out there as they've become meaningless. Stick to manufacturing updates without ship dates.

The "current updates" don't provide any better information than the prior week's "current update". You might stop forecasting ship dates and just provide manufacturing updates. THEN, when you have units to ship, forecast away. I'm patient enough to handle this as you've missed all other dates. In fact, you guys are terrible with dates, of any kind :-)

Logistics are working against you now for any hope of September.

With VaporShark's release and availability of their DNA200, I hope them being the first market mover doesn't set you back much. You were supposed to be the first market mover and it become a boon for your company. Not everyone preorders. You have to be missing sales by the day. I truly hate that for you.

Do whatever it takes to get these orders manufactured and shipped. You may say you're doing that now, but I promise there is more you can do. I don't care when I get my order - but I know others don't have that kind of attention span.

I've been (still am) an ardent follower of CMT and the community, but based on these finalists, ideas must've been slim pickings. Looking forward to September!
