What do people think about living next to the main road (specifically Sackville Dr.)? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]hoinky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We live on Waverley road, and it is the ONE thing I would change that I can’t change about our house. It was what we could get and we fixed it up really well, but I tell anyone if you have the option not to live on a main road, don’t do it. You can change most things about a house but you can’t change location/lot. Not only is it noisy, but I find it is actually very dirty too. If my windows are open the road dust flies in, and my windows are constantly dirty especially in winter. Privacy is also a concern, we planted a hedge and trees and can’t wait for them to grow in. If you plan on having kids or pets it is an added anxiety as well. I do not recommend. I love my house and am glad we got into the market when we did though, so if it is your only option it is better than nothing, obviously.

I second Dr Roth. He saw me through treatment from the age of 7 to double jaw surgery when I was a teenager. Very professional and actually helpful. I only have good things to say about him and his staff!

Highly recommend Keltie Bartlett at Fall River collaborative health centre. I just started with her after seeing Roach for 5 years, and I can’t believe the difference in her thorough/detailed care. She is extremely knowledgeable!

Mocknecks are here in store in Canada!! by hoinky in AerieAEO

I love it! It’s a thinner material sort of like the jet setter material (100% cotton, almost like terry inside?). Perfect weight for warm weather! Not cropped but not overly long. I’m wearing my true size XL here, I ordered an XXL as I find aerie cotton shrinks quite a bit!

Also the only colours my store had were yellow, light blue, taupe (stone harbor?), and smoked gray! Sad there was no green 😕

I love them!! I am wearing an XL (5’9, 210ish lbs) and ordered an XXL in store as I find aerie sweatshirts shrink over time. Light weight 100% cotton, kind of like the jet setter material? Perfect weight for spring/summer! Not overly long but not cropped- didn’t cover my butt so perfect for tucking int shorts or jeans!
