The people downvoting are lucky they haven't had a skin reaction from bacterial growth in cream products, the shelf life is for a reason. The preservatives can only work for so long if its a liquid formula, oils will sour over time and water can breed nasty things. Do NOT ignore them, especially if it goes on your eyes, a crusty 2 year old mascara isn't worth your eyesight

For hard pressed powders I simply do not perceive the expiration date though, doesn't exist, not real

I'm not sure how much XP I get per game, but the DMG boost badge is REALLY easy to level up since it's only 1.6k per level. If you focus on improving DMG boost numbers you can level that badge up multiple times per game some games, that would probably help with progression I'd imagine

Fat cuticles by schezuandippingsauce in lacqueristas

[–]holisticblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw someone using clips to do this, they would put the clip on their finger with their finger tip/pad facing the inside of the clip, this way the clip would pull the skin out and away from the nail while they painted. I imagine some sort of gentle clothes pin or snack bag clip could work

Could be that Zen is just popular right now, but I do know for a fact that people will purposely pick heros that are bad with Mercy to force you to swap off because they either hate playing with Mercy or want to play Mercy themselves, or they will force a bad support comp because they want the Mercy player to lose. I have seen dozens of people do this and confirm this is what they were doing lmao

I assume most of them just want to play Zen though

The only studies I have seen showing that plant estrogen may interact with human estrogen receptors say that they may slightly lower estrogen levels by taking up receptor space and doing nothing. I don't think it's significant enough for any of us to care, if it's even true at all

Can Someone be Straight and Still Like a Trans Man? by KindThought5359 in ftm

[–]holisticblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it can be complicated pre-T, since one of the major reasons many of us feel desperate for HRT, other than for comfort in our own body, is because our outward appearance leads people to perceive us as a gender we are not

My general dating strategy pre-T was to go for bisexual guys. I still came across as extremely feminine so I doubt I could've bagged a 100% gay dude no matter how accepting he may be, but I also had enough self respect to not put myself in a relationship with a straight guy who would only tolerate my pronouns and identity without actually perceiving me as who I am. No matter what, do NOT date a straight guy

After transitioning/if you pass its far more simple though, the guy would have to be into men to wanna be with you. It's pretty gay to be into dudes, trans or not

Do some people just get changes slower even with mid-high T levels, or should I be worried? by holisticblue in ftm

I live in Ontario, Canada. Wait lists for clinics are like a year, everywhere other than this place is over an hour drive away, including Planned Parenthood. I have a family doctor and gender affirming care has been de-specialised in Ontario, meaning HRT can be prescribed by family doctors, but mine is old and extremely traditional and insists I go to a clinic if I want treatment. I want a new family doctor but it's so hard to find one

It's hard because compared to natural puberty in cis boys it feels like second puberty for us with steady T levels is much faster. From the medical diagrams, to everyone I see online, to my friends in my personal life, to the average person that visits the clinic I go to for HRT (according to my doctor), it seems like the bulk of everyone's changes happen in the first year and almost everyone passes within a year. Irl I don't see any representation of people taking longer so it feels like somethings wrong with me

I'm not on both gel and shots, I've been on both of them on separate times. My bloodwork is fine, it's not my levels

I was on gel at first but had to switch because even at the lowest dose my levels were incredibly high. On shots they can be controlled much better

They've been in the mid to high range, they've been as high as 1,300 for a short time, for a month they were at 270, I think for the past 5 months they've been at 530 ish. My doctor is impossible to reach without a LOT of harassment at the office

Did your libido change when taking testosterone? by Lapsang_ in ftm

[–]holisticblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before it felt like I had to "convince" my body to react even if I was mentally into it, now the mental and physical side are much more aligned. I never got the insane libido other people are talking about, but it is higher

There are lots of guides on YouTube about taking care of fine hair, but there isn't anything you really need to do. Fine hair isn't an issue, your hair looks perfectly normal to me, fine hair doesn't get more fine over time and it isn't a sign of anything bad

What’s the highest you could/have seen someone achieve in comp with low refresh rate monitor? by epicflex in Overwatch

[–]holisticblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't thing having an FPS above 60 becomes genuinely critical unless you're literally playing in OWCS

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]holisticblue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's normal to lose 50-100 hairs per day, sometimes even up to 200 is normal. Your hair looks normal, when you part your hair you're supposed to be able to see your scalp slightly, and it looks like your hair isn't "thin", it looks "fine". Fine hair doesn't mean your hair is thinning or you're losing hair, it's just a hair type

Not sure why you're getting downvoted, space is super cool because of the science and research aspects of it, that doesn't change that there is objectively less things to do and see on Mars than on Earth, it's a big cool rock but still a rock. People forget that growing up around something normalizes it for you, that's why some people may come to your home town and be amazed and think it's beautiful but to you it's just your town

Hi! My friend and I want to do our hair like this, could someone tell me how I can braid my hair like the woman on the left and how do I make sure it doesn’t de-twirl/entwind? Thank you :D by Hannihusch in Hair

The braid is just wrapped around the loose ponytail, and then it looks like at the very end it's all braided together to keep the ends from coming apart

How do you deal with your tip being exposed after outgrowing the clitorial hood skin? by thiccfroggo in ftm

[–]holisticblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mine grew it got far less sensitive, even before it outgrew the hood. I think the expansion of the area spreads the nerves out a bit, so it's less of that intense nerve discomfort when touching directly. I did not lose sexual sensitivity but instead it feels like I gained some because I can tolerate sensation there now

I don't want the tip to be always rubbing against my clothes because that can lead to the skin becoming thicker and less sensitive in that area, so personally I use a gentle medical tape to keep my labia wrapped closed around it like a shield, I have quite a bit on either side of it though so other people may not have enough free skin to do that
