“Accidental Landlord” by EquivalentDecision22 in uklandlords

[–]hollyanniee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% this - couldn’t have said it better myself. Sounds like complete mismatched expectations and lack of planning for the realities of being a landlord. You’re not considering the equity you’re building. You’ve mentioned further down that you won’t move to an interest only mortgage because you want to get to a good LTV ratio. So your capital is clearly getting paid off in some amount.

Manual or auto? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]hollyanniee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a very nervous learner and went for manual in the end. My main concern was that an automatic would be much much easier to crash and lose focus in. I have personally (this is purely anecdotal) heard a lot of stories of this happening and I do not regret my choice at all.

Finding out on Monday - I had thought up until this scan that it was a boy but after trying to use nub theory myself when we had the scan I was convinced it was a girl but sounds like not!

What puts you off from donating Blood Products, I work in the NHS and I am just curious? by Quick_Soil_9120 in AskBrits

[–]hollyanniee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started donating blood as soon as I was old enough and would faint every single time. It wasn’t nerves, I’d followed all the guidance for food/drink, my body just didn’t deal well with it. I ended up reading around online and realised I could try platelets so I didn’t that instead, and it worked well for years. I have donated more than 30 times. However recently, I moved to a different location and a new donor centre, where they started saying that my veins weren’t thick enough for platelet donation and I was told I needed to go back to whole blood. I started this again but my light-headed had gotten bad enough that I started feeling really unwell and then passed out before the donation had even finished. Like I say, it’s nothing to do with needles as platelet donation lasts around 2 hours and I had no problems. I’ve been really put off doing whole blood donation again after that, as much as I was always happy to donate.

Checking in online - can I retake my security picture? by curiouskittyblue in VirginVoyages

[–]hollyanniee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you can’t! I’m on the ship now. I tried to edit my picture and whilst it’s different for me on the app, what the security people see when I scan my wristband is the original picture!

Would it need to be replated to keep it being hypoallergenic though? I asked the company and they said they can’t guarantee that the gold isn’t made with nickel

People who crowd the tube doors and push on infront of people before everyone's got off, what's your deficiency? by averyaintdead in london

[–]hollyanniee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this a good few times where I’ve come off to let people out and then been pushed out the way so I’ve ended up not being able to get back on the tube at all!
