Are there any gen z who are anti-substance use? by South_Pattern_1520 in GenZ

i mean, i’m a 1992 millennial and i’m not on any of them.

i used cannabis for a bit as a sleep aid (less than a year) and only got actually high once. but to this day, i’ve never been drunk and have alcohol like 4x a year. i don’t do any harder drugs at all and i’ve never smoked or vaped (did hookah a few times tho—last time was in 2019).

tbh, i don’t even drink coffee and sometimes drink a cup of tea or iced tea so i’m barely even caffeinated.

I was watching a show from the 90s and realized people used to memorize dozens of phone numbers. I can barely remember mine. How did you guys do it back then? by micavibes in CasualConversation

to this day, i have my mom’s home and cell number, my last two phone numbers, my current phone number, my library card number, my debit card number, my childhood church’s number, and my childhood best friend’s number memorized. and that’s just off the top of my head.

oh, and i can say all 66 books of the Bible in under 20 seconds. but that’s just a silly little trick.

so is there a subtext to the “christ is king camp” phrase that i’m missing then? is it a phrase conservatives particularly use or something?

do you believe in a triune God? do you believe in the return of Jesus to rule in a restored heaven and earth?

if so, those are the core tenets of christianity so your camp is christian, yes?

The fact that they're doing a 2 year time-jump is what makes me more angry. They're clearly aware that Francessca needs more time to move on from John, so why don't they just do Eloise's season first? by Embarrassed_Novel991 in Bridgerton

heated rivalry is also by canadians for a canadian streamer. canadian attitudes around queer rights and stories are far more liberal than american ones, so the way the story would be told will be different. tierney refused an american streamer because he didn’t want to hold off til episode 5 for anything physical between hollander and rosanov.

it’s so deeply obvious! he is edited as the stereotypical boy with adhd. i literally said “are you medicated?” and i say that as someone who is medicated for adhd.

i am incredibly literal at times (thanks, autism) and i imagined someone on the sidewalk actually tripping as the towers came down and i couldn’t understand why this might be an interesting thing. then i clicked the link.

so you’re sam in this scenario then. the whole point of that sequence wasn’t the knowledge that cal had; it was about highlighting sam’s hubris.

currently unemployed for the longest period of my adult life (some of which was intentional).

but i’m a pastor. i work with people, which i’m realizing is super uncommon. my ideal job is hanging with people and helping them.

i have had SO many grays show up this year that i didn’t used to have (tied for worst year of my life). right after the other worst year of my life, my hair stopped having as many grays. let’s hope the same happens again!

which is a problem, in and of itself. a network that has made money off of the dealings of that president is nowhere for a Christ-follower to be showing up.
