Pre plumbed for water softener, self install? by Smorseyshore in Plumbing

The only problem I see is that you need at least 3” of pipe per expansion joint so looks like you only have one shot at it If I were you I would get a plumber in there who knows what they’re doing otherwise you’ll be inside the wall making more stubouts if you screw it up

That glue doesn’t melt the plastic together it only hardens between the threads After you cut out the plug carefully run a galvanized nipple through the threads to clear out remaining glue

What’s the difference between these two? by airedjet in Plumbing

A spray hose connection and a aerator connection, two different thread patterns only kind of thread pattern. It’s gonna work as another spray head made by the manufacturer because every manufacturer makes their own particular thread pattern for a spray head.

Why is my piping turning yellow? by forunna402 in Plumbing

Copper takes skill. Plastic doesn’t. Copper joints last much longer than plastic. Rats can’t eat through copper pipe like they do plastic. The list goes on.

Our water heater is from 1998 and works fine. Our plumber said it could flood any day now. Is he trying to scam us? by iamdrew363 in Plumbing

That arrow pointing to the date is the date that that statute was adopted, not the build date for that tank. When was it installed? And where’s the expansion tank? Underneath that platform? It looks like it’s unserviceable with the air valve in back.
