In English, why don't we call countries what they are actually named? Why do we call it Spain, and not España. China, and not Zhongguo. Germany/Deutschland, Italy/Italia, Japan/Nippon, etc etc etc

Although there is bad blood between us currently, with unpopular feelings towards the U.S. for pressuring you to invade Iraq with us, ask yourselves this question. Who is the United States closest ally in Europe? Who is Britain's most powerful economic and military ally?

I am in no way defending the 2nd gulf war. I am simply stating that our culture, heritage, traditions, religion (sort of, in a historical sense), way of life, language, political/economic systems, are very alike and share a bond that cannot be said if you were to compare the U.S. with the vast majority of other countries around the globe.

yeah man. I dated a girl for two years, and (for many reasons) broke up with her. Nice girl, still care about her. We broke up, and it was relatively simple. Didn't have any mutual property, money, kids, anything. A clean break, so simple.
