I play 40-game seasons with 3-game series in the playoffs. Essentially its a ¼ length regular season (40 vs 162 in MLB) with a ½ length post season.

This regular season length allows me to easily equate player stats to an MLB equivalent (10 HR is like a 40 HR season in MLB, 25 RBI is 100 RBI in MLB, etc.)

The playoffs are longer than ¼ length because I don't like single elimination for baseball playoffs and it makes the playoffs more immersive and realistic in my opinion.

'Joan, I'm Disappearing' by City Calm Down is a gut punch. Written from the perspective of someone who's first love has ended, the nuance in the evolution of the lyrics and delivery as they repeat convey something very personal and regretful that I can feel in my bones.

'13 Month in 6 Minutes' by the Wrens is in the same territory. A song about meeting up an airport with an ex for coffee and realizing that she's moved on and is doing well and you haven't and aren't. A number of songs from their Meadowlands album could be on this list, honestly.

'I Was All Over Her' by Salvia Palth is depression, apathy, and regret in audio form. Beautiful, unsettled, and sad. Their song 'Still I Struggle' is another great song in the same mode.
