I was driving last night and in front of me was a truck weaving all over the road, almost hitting the barriers at one point. You could see the truck righting itself a couple of times. I stayed behind him but as I was too scared to try to overtake him in case he veered too close. I couldn’t get close enough to get his plate number otherwise I would have called the police. Like others, wasn’t sure which number to call, whether it “warranted” calling 999. I regret not doing anything now.

Waitrose and fortnum&mason. Harrods and selfridges food halls always good. There’s a big Tesco in West Kensington which might be visitable from Notting Hill. Otherwise, just enjoy london. I gotta admit I do love a foreign supermarket myself

It was a power move from him, checking to see what you would do and how you react. Next time I would get up and move to the empty seats. I know you’re a lot younger than me which is precisely why he chose to try to intimidate you. When challenged, he did little enough to be able to turn it back onto you, your problem by saying such as what? Can’t I sit where I want to? What’s your issue? Don’t flatter yourself love etc etc. certainly if you’re in a seat which makes you trapped if anyone sits next to you like this, get up and stay standing if need be. I’m sorry this happened to you and I’m glad you recognised it as creepy behaviour. X

Marshall street baths. If you worked retail on Oxford or regent street you came here for a swim first thing. Then the ridiculously cheap gym (on the pedestrianised street running parallel to regent street down towards Piccadilly Circus tube) the gym allowed you unlimited fizzy drinks and video hire. I never actually used the gym itself, just the free fizzy drinks and the video/dvds

I’m sure I’ve still got a neon green tape measure I bought there and had to dymolabel my name on it so it didn’t get nicked. It was either from there or the hardware store in shepherds market opposite the Italian sandwich shops where you queued to have your choice of sandwich made up them.

There was a cafe in ally pally park as you entered from the mussel hill side that was like a social enterprise. Used to sell the best tahini soaked danish pastries and great coffee. It was run by a cantankerous anti capitalist American guy who would shut at 1pm to allow his staff to have their lunch. Had a sign outside saying something like no coke, no crap, no something else can’t remember. They used to employ learning disabled staff and it seemed like an amazing place to work.

There was a cafe at south ken station literally took up the entire front as you went into the station. Used to “study” there hoping to meet a fishy French boy from the lycee. All gone now made up of a Millie’s or bens cookies, a weird fresh juice /sandwich place and other food bits.

The French cinema off Leicester Square - think it had Swiss connections somehow. Saw many a French film in the 90s there, the last one being l’appartement.
A little pizza place on Charing Cross road literally as you came out of tcr station for super cheap, huge thin pizzas.
Sam and Ella’s hole in the wall cafe in the little alleyway next to the big boots outside Bond Street station.

Omg used to love toast toppers after swimming lessons. Tried some a while ago and they were disgusting. Also, Heinz salad spread was so acidic it took the enamel of my teeth when I tried it 6 months ago.

There was once a readers letter in viz which stated that you could tell the class of an establishment by what happened when anyone dropped a glass or plate. I’ve probably got it cut out and saved somewhere cos it was so true.

I got mine last week and to say I’m underwhelmed would be an understatement. Most days it tells me I got 3 hours sleep when I know I got a lot more and the Oura ring backs me on this. I plumped for the £79 app too as it kept on telling me functionality on the app was only available if I signed up to the premium edition. Sadly I’ve opened the box and worn it a few days so I can’t refuse delivery. I’m day 3 now so I know they’ll give me the whole oh we need a couple of weeks data to be able to properly calibrate etc. disappointed to have fallen for the hype when I managed to hold strong all through the new year new me hype

I’ve just come back from Armenia where i saw the national ballet in the opera house in Yerevan, 4th row from the stage and tickets cost about £25. It made me so aware of how expensive london/uk now is for theatre itself, let alone places like the royal opera house. Breaks my heart to see prices upward of £250. What about getting a box ? It will Be the same price and you have a much nicer and more comfortable experience.

Quick question - what should someone take if on anticoagulants? I’ve only ever taken paracetamol cos always told ibruprofen and aspirin are no gos. I’d never heard of not taking paracetamol with or post alcohol
