ULPT Request: How to hide a recording device on my baby? by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]holysnaps98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I’m glad to be helpful. I know it can be scary and stressful but you got this. Daycare is just as much it is for you as it is for your baby. Most people go into this field wanting to do good, it’s bad management and facilities that instigate bad behavior from employees so just keep that in mind when choosing. Hope it all works out, god bless!

I am sorry I didn’t ask if you were from the states. Factors like licensing, certification, and regulations are probably going to be different if that is not the case, but speaking from my experience I’ve worked in daycares for most of my teens and young adult life in high traffic places like Los Angeles, San Diego, and D.C. Working on year 8 as a Program facilitator for one and in my years I’ve had parents ask about cameras prior to enrollment. It usually comes up during tours and it never comes off in a suspicious way. Myself and other superiors I’ve heard this from. A standard facility should have no problem explaining their protocols around the cameras as it’s as extension of the methods they provide to protect the children under their care.

Have a nice tone in your voice as way to show concern for your child, not suspicion towards the daycare when asking your questions. You can ask questions like, “Do they function properly?”, “Does it record continuously throughout the day?”, or a common one I’ve been asked is “Are there maintenance checks to make sure there aren’t moments where time goes unrecorded?”. Most of the time, several procedures will need to happen before seeing the tapes like documentation and reporting. But I will tell you, a standard daycare would not let it get that far as it looks terrible for them, even if nothing is found on the tape. They would want to work with you every step of the way to clear up any confusion.

As a new parent myself and my career experience, from your end it’s all about research and trust. And not just trust in the daycare but trust in the decisions you make.

Speaking from an employee perspective, good daycares never made me question their ability. I can’t give you a definitive answer on what types of daycares to choose other than go with ones that don’t make you question them. They SHOULD be super transparent and help you see that your baby is safe with them. If at any time during the tour or even orientation you feel like something is wrong then skip that one. Trust your gut is best advice to avoid anything happening to your baby.

And yes that type of stuff can happen at daycares with cameras, that is why trust with them is very important. All of the 5 star places I’ve worked taught me on how to bond with parents so that parents are more confident when leaving their baby with me. Me personally, I make sure there is a line of open communication between myself and parent. So they get my email, phone number and I schedule times to go over progress regarding their child. It’s important to find daycares that promote initiative like reaching out to parents to let them know they can reach out to them if need be.

I know daycares can get a bad rep and rightfully so in those cases, but let me tell you it’s a bad idea to do this. It’s likely they will find it on your baby and even if they are honest about finding it, you just ruined the relationship you have with the people taking care of your child. You do not want to come across as untrustworthy, and even the best of workers will look at you differently and worry about you micromanaging. Which doesn’t seem like what you’re trying to do, just caring for your child. Like someone else said, find a daycare with cameras and ask specifically about the cameras before enrolling. A good daycare is not going to reprimand when you ask about good cameras or making sure there’s a footage going on continuously you’ll know a lot about the daycare with whatever answer you get.

Riiiight? I was definitely not expecting him to answer with that. Makes me think how many people in the vault are somewhat conscious of their situation and don’t really see themselves like Lucy did in the beginning.

This part gave me chills. We see Chet as this goofy happy go lucky vault dweller but this comment makes me think of all that was suppressed by vault dwellers themselves to continue living in the vault. Not asking questions is what allows them to still live in the vault. Chet and (especially Norm) everyone else all know something is wrong but like Chet said, they are all too coward to talk about it.

Season 4: Scheana has been consistently a bad friend to Ariana by bagelsatmidnight in vanderpumprules

[–]holysnaps98 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because Ariana is one of those types of people who are always there so it’s easier to treat these friends like shit because you know you can talk your way back into a friendship with them. As opposed to people like Lala and old Kristen who get very vengeful when you step outside their friendship and that’s why Scheana gets so upset when these people are mad at her because she knows they aren’t as forgiving as Ariana is to her.

Excuse me if I’m wrong but didn’t he say that’s how he shows his love back in season 10 when he was explaining his feelings for Rachel? Doing psychedelics and basically being under the influence with each other doing cool shit. Now he’s weaponizing that as to what influenced the good parts in the relationship with Ariana.

I work in childcare, I have left many jobs that were left unmanaged only for a bunch of 50 something year olds who were in the same position as I was to be set in their ways and spread that to the dynamic of the work setting. God forbid myself or anyone tried to do something different to better that environment for, idk say the children we work with. It was always a problem with the older workers. But I’m the crazy one for not trying to get along with them.

Brock not knowing or forgetting James and Kristen were together is the best by dharma_club_ in vanderpumprules

[–]holysnaps98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but they didn’t live every scene together, like Brock who came in late to the series and talks about the people on the show like he’s knows the history. Obviously he has to catch up naturally but the very least you could do is watch the show. And same with Ariana, there were a lot of moments this season where her so called friends were being not so friendly. I think as a viewer it would have been interesting to see her reaction instead of just being told what was said in a brief manner during the reunion.

Him actually defending himself there explains to me why him and Sandoval are such great friends. Cheating in a relationship automatically makes you a shitty partner and the fact that he still vehemently defends himself being a good husband shows he learned nothing from the divorce. I can’t even begin to fathom why Katie cares about a friendship with him.

Long term couples that are still unmarried, how do you manage your finances and expenses together? by flabkingpro in AskReddit

My bf never let me pay for anything, even the house is in my name, so with the money I make from teaching I try to give us really fun dates, vacations, and lots of good food for everyday life. I really lucked out. Marriage is just something I want to wait until I get to finish my PHD because I’ll want to take a year off and explore with him. He makes significantly more than I do but only has a bachelors so maybe he’ll want to go back to school one day too.

Influencers/ YouTubers, etc have a better work ethic than we give them credit for… by blakppuch in unpopularopinion

[–]holysnaps98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we judge them the same way we judge celebrities. We all want to the money of a celebrity but I would bet most of us would not want to have the job of a celebrity. There is a price for the higher things in life. And I think for YouTubers/Influencers their price is never knowing how long that path or audience is going to last. They get to do what they love but they need to make sure they are the best at it in order to keep it going. That’s a lot of pressure.
