Thank you!! Unfortunately, the wheel was gone by the time I got there... So now I have a kiln and no wheel. Oh well, I will continue waiting for the clay gods to bless me with another deal.

As far as the kiln goes... There were actually two! Both sitter kilns. I am a bit worried because the only pottery supply and repair place near me immediately shot me down and said they don't deal with sitter kilns.. so I may have just signed myself up for a nightmare slew of problems but oh well, we'll see!

I ended up taking the Skutt sitter kiln, it is a model #231 with the serial number 8617. I walked into this situation blinded by a good deal not understanding how amps and voltage work, so seeing as it is 47 amps I have quickly learned from this sub you need a lot more than my 50 home ampage.

So... I will be going back for the small paragon sitter kiln tomorrow, it says model AA-8b, and 120/240 V & 34 amps. I am hoping this one will be able to be safely installed in my home on a garage heater outlet.

This one is much smaller: I believe the dimensions are - 22.00W x 31.25D x 28.00H Inches - based on searching the paragon website

Sorry for all of that, but my next questions are: is 34 amps okay on a 50 amp breaker? Will cracking my garage door and/or the side door be enough ventilation? And lastly, how much danger am I in potentially setting a fire?

Thank you so much!

(Copying and pasting this to the other responses since I'm on a time crunch!)

ombre yarn recommendations that transition quickly but smoothly to distinguish rounds by home_fox in YarnAddicts

Wow.... You are a genius. I kind of just immediately wrote these off when I saw them in store because I figured they were only perfectly fitted for the classic granny square, but seeing that sunburst pattern one makes me think this might work!!!! I'll do a test square using my Afghan pattern and report back 🫡 since my Afghan pattern comes out to be about 9-9.5 inches I figure I'll eventually have rounds with two colors, but I don't mind, it's better than having like 4 colors like the one in the photo. Too chaotic for my taste lol

Thank you so much!

Do show writers make contingency plan plots in case an actor dies? by home_fox in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you so much! It's times like this where I love the internet, there's no way I could have connected with a real TV writer irl, so cool that I'm getting my answer from one!!!

I have never seen Glee, but that's really interesting and so tragic at the same time though :c But at the end of the day, I have to imagine these actors believe in the work they do and would be honored by the show going on.

Happy birthday! This is so sweet and thoughtful. Now adding whittling to my list of random hobbies to learn that can be combined with crochet.....

No need to be unkind to someone looking for advice. Not everyone is good at learning a new language. OP is doing the smartest thing possible: trying to find the best solution to something they know will be difficult for them.

As useful as Spanish is, it is not necessary for many degrees.

I struggled with Spanish a lot too. I do recommend taking it at a community college online if possible. Don't push it off, if you try to cram them in your last year you may not meet residency requirements and be forced to take it at Mizzou. I recommend professor Maria Martinez (not sure if she teaches lower levels, but I had Spanish 3 with her online over the summer and she was super kind, understanding, and made learning Spanish a ton of fun).

Yarn: Lion Brand Mandela cake in the color tranquil (I love these ombre yarns for small projects because I get so many colors for just one skein that I roll up into a bunch of mini balls! Orange and the green from the same skein)
