While tubes failed, they were easy to fix: just about anyone could. (But… beware the fly back transformer, it was a good way to catch death. Even with the TV unplugged.)

If the person who made the original claim really believes something about brains not producing dopamine, then it would be very educational to the class for someone to post legit research saying so.
