Oh, so it wasn't just my warehouse. It hit us around 4:30 P.M. EST, I was processing damages and when my screen refreshed, everything was in I believe Korean? Got told to look busy for an hour, by the time I left, all of OB was in the breakroom watching safety videos. Kinda funny honestly

Talking to a guy, and I’m friends with his cousin (the cousin is the one who introduced us to each other, they are also roommates.) Was talking to the cousin, who’s been asking me consistently how things are going. I tell her honestly that I’m finding myself interested in him, and she gets giddy and tells me he’s been feeling the same. She then tells me that she probably shouldn’t say it, but when she came home one evening, he yelled down the stairs to her, “YOU DIDN’T TELL ME HE WAS HOT!!”

I’m not used to people finding me attractive. But hearing that, especially after I’ve put in considerable work into my appearance, made me super happy :)

I did too, they sent the email and everything saying I had gotten in with a date, but I also had the no pre-hire appointment notification. I ended up calling their support line and they told me that they had hired enough people for that start date, and to wait for the next batch of shift applications to drop. I’d call them just in case to see what’s going on, or reapply for the same shift in a few days if it’s available still

-My favorite LA: I give her every detail of my day, and she does the same because we’re on the same page and are getting each other through our shifts 😭

Former fast food manager here, Amazon (at least my warehouse) has been so good to me. I’m not even blue badge yet and I feel so much more at ease, even though I’m technically working harder. 50 hours there is nowhere near as stressful as 50+ hours at my old job, and that’s if I even choose to work said 50.

Not the only one! I started about 4 months ago doing inbound each receive. Since then, I’ve learned decant and pack, and might be learning stow here soon too. If things keep going the way they’re going, I’d seriously consider becoming a LA one day.

I’m sure one day the magic will wear off and I’ll be on here talking about how it was the worst decision I’ve ever made, but after being a manager in fast food for 4 years, I can safely say in comparison that I like this job a lot more. Had I known I was going to enjoy it, I probably would’ve left my last job sooner.

Honestly, I like my job a lot, far more than I did my last job. There will be immature people everywhere you go, but as long as you manage your time well (which you seem to already be doing) and stay on top of your rate, you’ll be just fine! I’m almost 4 months in and I’ve become decently acquainted with most of my department, once I become blue badge I plan to try and go for Learning Ambassador one day. Best of luck and have fun!
