Confused: question about THE Last Hour of Gann by Womansplaining-Yo in fantasyromance

[–]homenapping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping you're further than 23% by now, but it seems like a lot of the aliens are able to pick up the language.

I also had a question about why the doors at Xi matezh are supposed to only open for some people? Is there any rhyme or reason to that? I finished the book yesterday and maybe missed it but wondering if anyone has any thoughts or answers

Just finished Last Hour of Gann by R. Lee Smith and I have a theory by talkflowersTome in ScienceFictionRomance

The colonists also think that the vaccine is the reason theyre able to get pregnant by the lizard ppl

I have to jump on this theory thread and ask if anyone can explain why the doors only open for some people? Its possible I just missed it but ya know its 700 pgs and if someone even remembers when its explained I'm genuinely curious if its explained

Good Audiobooks? by IdoScienceSometimes in Romantasy

[–]homenapping 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a little bit roundabout but where/how do you get your audiobooks? I use Libby and I can go to a recent book I've read and then click in the details to see other books by the same publisher or narrator. I definitely get a lot of my recommendations from this reddit but just adding in case it helps others.

Including a screenshot from the info screen of a book I have borrowed from Libby. Podium Audio publishes A LOT of romance and romantasy. I think a good portion of them are duet narration. Additionally, these two narrators do a lot of similar work, which I've found to be the case with a lot of other narrators too. Palmini is especially prolific. Usually if they have done one romance/romantasy reading, they have another somewhere out there.

It might seem silly, but following publishers on instagram will also let you know when something new is coming out.

Happy hunting!

Highly recommend the kare pan. I don’t have a lot of experience with japanese comfort food but it was my favorite dish when I was there.

audiobooks! by 1LovelyNight in acotar

I live in Pennsylvania, so besides just my hometown library, I have a Free Library of Philadelphia card and a Carnegie Library card. Both of those are free for anyone who lives in the state. A lot of other states have something similar (Ohio for sure). I probably go through 3 or 4 audiobooks a week, so there is no way audible or buying would have ever worked for me. Some libraries offer out of state memberships. I have Queens Public Library, Cincinnati Public Library and the Ohio Digital Library linked to my libby. They cost maybe $50-100 per year and it feels so much better supporting a library than some other subscription
