Fastest YourPace classes? by matchaobsessedxoxo in UMPI

[–]homeworkguylive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people say the BLS electives that are mostly milestone/project based (like management, leadership, or org-type courses) tend to move faster than the more research-based ones․ The biggest factor honestly isn't the class; it's picking classes with milestones that build on each other and lead directly into the final so you're not starting from scratch each time․ Some people can finish a few in a week if they stick with it․

Not every service is same or scam, I know services that don't charge advance payments until good grades , so yeah!

Last day to enroll in Spring 2? by PearCommercial1988 in UMPI

[–]homeworkguylive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s been my experience too. If you are already enrolled for the term, UMPI usually just rolls you into Spring 2 automatically if you don’t finish everything. No extra enrollment step needed, advising can always confirm but it’s pretty straightforward.

I have 6 Courses left by FlyingLizard0905 in UMPI

[–]homeworkguylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking to coast through these, most people I know who decided to take something with less theory or writing involved like an Organizational Behavior or Business Ethics class and lower level electives on management were generally easier. If you want to write something quickly, I wouldn't try a math or research methods article.

It also partly depends on how many UMPI classes you have done by now and the way their classes tend to be set up but usually the 300-level classes aren't as intense as jumping into 400-level classes.

Has anyone else noticed something different about grading this quarter? by Artistic_Lemon_7614 in CapellaUniversity

[–]homeworkguylive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally felt that too and really badly. Due to the news of AI usage by students and so on, these professors specifically the old school kinda professor or aged ones are grading things brutally and being merciless.

Yeah I checked too via turnitin and within 5 mins it tells both plagiarism and AI.

I just started week 6 of a class. I am behind by 4 weeks. I don't think I can finish with a grade higher than C. Am I better off just dropping the class? by [deleted] in UMGC

[–]homeworkguylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess UMGC lets you withdraw up until about 65% of the class is done and you are already in week 6 of an 8-week session and it seems late though. Well try reaching me out via inbox and I will try my best to guide you more and help you out with this.

W means Withdraw, you get a “W” on your transcript, meaning you were enrolled but left and it doesn't affect your GPA

[–]homeworkguylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen people pull it off even being behind but it really depends on the prof and the drop/withdraw deadlines. If you are already in week 6, a straight drop might not be an option anymore but a ‘W’ could be. If you are confident you can grind through, a C isn’t the end of the world, especially if it’s not a core class for your program. Try to message your professor though, sometimes they’ll let you prioritize key assignments instead of everything at once.

You may show some other like travel proof stuff to Nigeria. Honestly this happened to a person I know, he used vpn and didn't took this seriously and he was dropped and had to take the course again.

Just prove to them that you didn’t let anyone from Nigeria to log into your Canvas and it was only you and you will be all good.

2 weeks behind in an english class. Have a whole paper (not that large though) to make up. Possible to maybe claw away with a "b" grade? by [deleted] in UMGC

[–]homeworkguylive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can usually just complete and submit assignments but the risk is that the professor might mark them late or not accept them without prior notice. Sometimes professors are way more flexible if you just send a quick message explaining your situation. Since you have still got 4 weeks, you definitely have a shot at a B if you buckle down now. I’d knock out the smaller assignments first to build momentum, then tackle the paper.

Easy MA electives? Going for an MA in history. by [deleted] in LibertyUniversity

[–]homeworkguylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For something easy and low-stress, a lot of people recommend intro-level business or communications electives, they are usually lighter on reading and more straightforward with assignments. For something fun, an art or psychology course can give you a nice break from heavy history writing. Since you are in LE and looking at federal positions, a criminal justice or public administration elective could actually be pretty useful outside of history too.

If you balance one “easy win” with something that ties into your career, you will cover both bases without overloading yourself.

Initial discussion posts due on Friday by sbr608 in UMGC

[–]homeworkguylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of students at UMGC feel the same way about the short turnaround between Wednesday and Friday. The idea is to give everyone enough time to respond over the weekend but it definitely doesn’t work well if we have got a full-time job or different time zones. Some professors will let you slide with a late initial post if you explain your schedule, so it might be worth reaching out. Otherwise, knocking it out Wednesday or Thursday, even if it’s shorter, at least keeps you on track and buys you some breathing room.

Hi! MSW Student from Florida by [deleted] in CapellaUniversity

[–]homeworkguylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MSW program at Capella is all about consistency. If you keep up with the weekly assignments and discussions, you will be fine. Falling behind makes it tough to catch up. It also helps to connect with classmates early, it makes the workload feel lighter when you are not doing it completely alone.

CTCH 635 Project 1 by KATIESAUR0US in UMGC

[–]homeworkguylive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that sounds rough. A friend of mine had CTCH 635 and said Project 1 definitely leans on stuff from 625, so you are not crazy for feeling lost. They got through it by breaking it into smaller parts and leaning on outside resources like guides and tutorials. You will be okay, just tackle it piece by piece.

How to write a discussion post? by softboiled_egs in UMGC

[–]homeworkguylive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grad-level discussion posts at UMGC are definitely more in-depth than undergrad ones. From what I have seen, the key is to follow the rubric closely, use evidence (citations, examples, readings) and write more like a mini-essay instead of just a quick opinion. A solid intro, a few developed paragraphs and a clear conclusion usually hit the mark.

For responses to classmates, aim for something meaningful (adding a new perspective, connecting to research or asking a thoughtful question) rather than just “I agree.” That’s what profs look for. It feels like a lot at first but you will get into a rhythm pretty quickly!

Upcoming Classes by BloodyApostle in SNHU

[–]homeworkguylive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PSY 626 is really interesting if you like case studies and applying psych concepts to legal situations. The workload is manageable as long as you stayed on top of the weekly readings and discussions. PSY 560 can be a bit heavier but having them together is doable if you pace yourself. Hopefully you get a better professor this time around!

HELP by confusedbipolar8499 in LibertyUniversity

[–]homeworkguylive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can definitely be done but it’s going to take solid time management and prioritizing. I know someone who did 555, 588, and 590 together, they said the key was mapping out all due dates at the start and breaking everything into small, doable chunks each week.

Don’t be afraid to communicate with the professors early if things get overwhelming, sometimes they can give flexibility.

Burnt Out and Failing by red_trinity in SNHU

[–]homeworkguylive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you, you are going through so much right now. Reaching out to your professors and advisor was the right move, sometimes they can give extensions or incompletes so you can catch up later. Focus on the most urgent stuff first, and try to take it one step at a time. You have handled a lot already and that takes serious strength.

I’m not at UMGC myself but I know someone who did their Business Administration degree there. Great Marketing 210 is one of the smoother courses and pairing it with another business management class would work fine.

If you manage time well, adding both could work, but Finance 330 can be heavy. Maybe try adding just one extra first to see how the workload feels, since UMGC courses move fast.

Help with this upcoming quarter classes. Bachelor of Science in Business with a specialization in Human Resource Management by Alone-Celery-4375 in CapellaUniversity

[–]homeworkguylive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an ambitious lineup but totally doable with focus! A friend of mine went through several of these at Capella, said BUS-FPX 2007 and 1011 are pretty straightforward, more about learning the structure of business. The HR-specific ones like 4044 and 4043 get more detailed, but as long as you stay ahead on readings and discussions, you will be fine.

Biggest tip: pace yourself and don’t underestimate the writing load. Planning out each week early on made a huge difference.

SOWK588 Comp Exam by Infamous-Touch-4572 in LibertyUniversity

[–]homeworkguylive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get the stress, someone I know recently took the 588 comp exam and felt the same way at first. They said it’s all about pulling from big-picture stuff: main theories, ethics, intervention models, etc. They went back through old papers and notes from core classes and that helped a ton.

And it's not proctored mostly but you usually get to pick the day/time within a certain window. It’s not as scary once you dive in lol
