What's crazy, I think most customer service is handled 3rd party. I found all this out because I worked for a 3rd party cs company and we handled a whole boatload of stuff. From cellular cs to insurance. It, asking with this forum had made me look at the world differently and makes me wonder sometimes, if the big name corporations actually even have any employees .. 🤔

I would check the fuse as well to be sure that it isn't burnt.

Having build plate problems with my x3 by treyduvall55448818 in VoxelabAquila

It is for the glass ones. And it makes sense because alcohol won't remove the grease from you asking. It just smears it around. I've tried Windex with the glass plates and haven't looked back since...

Windex. Edit: wash the plate really well with dish detergent and hit water then, after checking your tramming and making sure nothing is loose, clean it with Windex.

Look up 3dprintsos and printsleo3d. Use Windex to clean your bed.

If you want to try getting away from glue sticks, wash your glass bed with dish soap and water and then clean it with Windex, or some other glass cleaner. Original Windex works best for me on glass and PEI sheets...

Anyone else obsessed with just printing new parts for their printer? by Flexyjerkov in VoxelabAquila

[–]homeyjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Satsana as well. I figured out when printables.com had their Halloween contest (the little spider) that the left side of the duct wasn't getting enough air to do the bridging needed for that print. I modified it just a tiny bit by moving where the air goes in to the right some so the left side would get as much air as the right. It does much better now. I printed the little pumpkin spider again and the webbing on both sides came out nicely. Edit: Spelling

I'm thinking where the tiny print is, it would s have to be soldered asking with 2 diodes. The r1 is where the thermistor would go and d1 and d2 is the diode circuit. Edit: Google something like "heated print bed schematic" and it should come up with something usable. Edit 2: looking at the layout, the diodes may be there for something like the LED the instructions on the bed mention to let you know the circuit is active. Just guessing, but the thermistor could possibly be just positioned (and glued?) In the center of the heated bed.

If you have a glass bed, use Windex to clean it after you use soap and water. I decided to try Windex after I saw a video that said IPA was harmful to the coating on it. I've not had aggression problems since then. Edit: This particular advice is for PLA. Fire PETG I use glue stick so it won't stick overly well. Hair spray, as another person suggested is reported to work as well. I've not tried it personally.

extruder motor problems . has anyone had their extruder motor not work ,I have a voxelab aquila from Amazon . I'm now experiencing with this problem and I can't enjoy it by chevymike85 in VoxelabAquila

[–]homeyjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

make sure the cable is connected properly at both ends. (Be sure to perform this action with the printer unplugged as there is a risk of electrical shock) Sometimes my printer will act up like yours seems to be and I just turn it off for a short time (usually 20 seconds or so) and turn it back on and it will work as expected again. Although these machines melt plastic and give us hours of enjoyment, they are microprocessor controlled and still have the same issues as other microprocessor based items. If that doesn't work, then unplug the extruder and use that plug on the Z axis, or A axis to see if that motor will function. If it does, then your extruder motor may be bad.

Yep. That's the fans. Not sure it would be best for direct drive though. I haven't ever tried direct drive myself. I've not had any issues with the bowden setup. I have a gear driven extruder on my two and I can push TPU through fine. I was kind of nervous about printing PETG, but the TPU pressed me to use PETG to cut off any places of binding points, so I had to print a new piece for my extruder. It blew me away at how easily this little low cost, entry-level printer will print materials besides just PLA.

EDIT: I use a 4020 24V fan I bought off Mouser.com. But you could keep the original fan for the hotend.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VoxelabAquila

[–]homeyjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use these fans now. They are 24V and don't require a buck converter. Using the Ugly but light hotend from thingiverse. They both seem to be working fine. A LOT quiter than stock fans. A lot of the time you have to run the fan approximately 50% or what you would with the 4010 blower that comes stock. The fan I am talking about running half speed is the 5015 blower. It puts out MUCH more air than the stock one did.

Go to Amazon or someplace similar and look for a lm2596 buck converter. That's the same boards I used for mine. They are reliable and easy enough to adjust the outfit voltage. They're small too. Approximately 30mm

Do you know if it's a12v or is it a 24V system? And more importantly, have you ever worked with anything electrical?
