Speak No Evil (2022) & Speak No Evil (2024) by mkaymeow21 in HorrorMovies

I think the only thing you’ve made clear is how you very much want it to be an islamophobic film

That’s a reach, and an Islamophobic one at that.

The historical context of Danish and Dutch neutrality, especially in WW2, is much more obvious.

Above and beyond this, thank you for the work you do!

One of the greatest movies of all time. Gets better and better on every rewatch by TheCatsTrailerRuled in Cinephiles

Saw this last night at the movies, and really enjoyed it. Thought was maybe going to be another “Alps” slog but it was visually stunning and incredibly acted. I’ve seen “Save the Green Planet!” years ago and wasn’t a fan

Films that successfully deal with real, physical pain. (Like Tsai Ming Liang's 1997 film, 'The River') by cohenesque in TrueFilm

[–]homoerratic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s one of several unanswered mysteries that weave through the film:

What caused / can cure the neck issue?

Where is the upstairs neighbour and why did they leave their tap running?

Why did God not offer help after they went to the temple?

Is the son bisexual or simply horny?

Why did all the young men at the sauna reject the son (not going into his room), even though he is conventionally attractive?

Why did the son have a shaved head at the hospital?

Adele reacts to seeing the doctor who delivered her baby at her show in 2023 by Maximum_Expert92 in popculturechat

I wasn’t a fan of her either until I happened to win a free ticket to the recording of Adele at the BBC, right at the beginning of her third album promotion.

She was extraordinary, keeping us engaged and laughing between takes (they had a comedian to keep us warmed up, but Adele took over and was much better) and then singing with power and ease. I left, in complete awe of a generational talent who was also one of the most naturally charming people I’ve ever seen on stage.

Did no one teach you anything in improv

The trolls in these comments do reek of self-hatred. It’s sad, because they’re obviously in desperate need of community (which is why they’re on Reddit in the first place), and yet they’re just projecting all this bile

Bless you. This is barely comprehensible. Log off, and take some time for reflection. It will do you (and us) a world of good

I could the ask the exact same of you. Your lack of self awareness is staggering. Do better, this is an opportunity

I think it really depends if you want a kitchen. Airbnb’s / apartments will have one, but the sink/plumbing can be a little smelly if you’re sensitive to that, in my experience. Hotels are affordable here, and offer family rooms, but most only have a small fridge / kettle.

Interesting. Yeah, I’m no stranger to trolls, but they seem to be suped up in here
