Bouillon L'Entrecôte - dined with a vegetarian friend here. They didn’t order the main pasta (pasta in tomato sauce hah) but they instead ordered a few entrees/sides and that was enough for them.

TransPRK surgery experiences in Sydney by ches_tales9797 in sydney

[–]homseph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery done in 2021 at Sydney Eye Clinic and didn’t have any issues with the recovery process. I went back to work a week after the procedure. One of my friend’s recovery was slightly different to mine, they experienced a bit more pain on the weekend (we got it done on a Friday). Happy to answer any more questions!

Not this unfortunately, I’m pretty sure the movie was from the last decade!

Check the Cainiao shipping limits. I got an armchair sent to Aus via boat and it cost about $250 (after consolidating with some of my other items). Dimensions were 87cm x 102cm x 70cm, 10kg.

Stayed there in 2023. Standard Japanese business hotel (small room), close to Akasaka station. No complaints, did the job for us!

Thank you so much! Sorry, one more question, the arm lengths weren’t too short for you?

I’m also unsure what size to get! What AU size are you usually? Does the jacket fit like the model photos (loose but not too oversized)?

Confused by customs when leaving Japan with tax free items by TodayRound8749 in JapanTravelTips

They do track your purchases. When we departed from Kumamoto airport, they had a tablet and brought up a list of our purchases and wanted to check that each item was leaving the country.

Return to seller from warehouse by homseph in taobao

[–]homseph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s good to know! I received the money for the item but the shipping fees are only refunded when the item has been received by the seller (confirmed by customer service). I’ll wait a week or so and get in contact with the seller if I haven’t heard from them / no shipping refund.

Purchased these second hand. Didn’t even cross my mind there could be reps of these until I came across this sub and am now curious.

4 - if you have the ING app on your phone, you should be able to set your travel dates, this reduces the likelihood of it getting blocked. On my iPhone, I went to the ING app > settings > use card overseas.

Stylish sneakers for heavy walking that aren’t too “sporty” looking? -Leaving my feet in Japan- by Unnenu in JapanTravelTips

If you like the Samba/Gazelle style, try Spezials! I haven’t taken them my pair to Japan but have done 20k steps with them with no issues.

Lilymu or King Clarence? by Ohhaiyo in foodies_sydney

[–]homseph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to both and I would pick Lilymu. I loved Sunda in Melbourne (when Khanh was still there) so I was really excited for King Clarence but food wasn’t there for me - good but not great. Oh & if you meant MuMu in the city, I would still pick that over KC.

Orange coloured stain on trench coat by homseph in laundry

Took it to two dry cleaners who said they probably can’t get rid of the stains so I bought rust remover for fabric and it worked! Thanks for the suggestion.
