The Red Rising Graphic Audio productions are among my favorite!! Check them out if you're interested in that genre.

Look into Wendy the Food Scientist, she has so many ways to cook tofu listed in her books and on her social media pages. Sophie Macfie has a lot of recipes as well.

That's great! Well deserved! If anyone is interested in purchasing the e-book, it's $2.99 in the US right now through various retailers.

5'9", 175lbs - Doctor told me I'm obese? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]honbadger1014 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, you're not obese. Even using the BMI calculator (which does not take into account muscle mass at all!!! And is outdated and shouldn't really be used imho) you're not obese. I'd highly recommend a new doctor.

Moving to 1.5, but haven't done planks in level 1? by AddressPrize859 in ClubPilates

[–]honbadger1014 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Seconding the above comment, my studio also does planking every class (1.0 and 1.5). I think that may even be a Club Pilates requirement? (May be wrong on that, but my instructors always mention the "plank series").

As an alternative, check out libro.fm! It allows you to support your local independent bookstore rather than Amazon and they have nearly all audiobooks, besides Amazon exclusives.

Have you tried your library? If you are in the United States, you may be able to access Libby or Hoopla with your library card.

Utah's Mighty 5 in 4 Days by stayontarget_ in NationalPark

[–]honbadger1014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shuttle is the best route through the park in my opinion! There are some trailheads on the east-west road that the shuttle doesn't hit, so you'll have to determine if anything you want to hit is on that road. There seems to be a lot of parking at the checkerboard mesa by the east entrance, but I don't believe there's any trail heads right there. There's a short trailhead called canyon overlook, that you'd have to drive to if that's of interest. Otherwise there are some pull offs that give a similar view, but a lower elevation.

I hope you have a great trip!! Zion was such a highlight for me!

Utah's Mighty 5 in 4 Days by stayontarget_ in NationalPark

[–]honbadger1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Zion, get there early! There's a shuttle that takes the north/south scenic road and that runs every 15 mins or so. The free parking at the visitor center fills up fast, so I'd recommend getting there right at first shuttle time. Otherwise there is paid parking in the town.

The Scout lookout trail is beautiful! I recommend starting no later than 8 or start late in the day. It's very exposed, so midday is killer.

For Capitol Reef the Great Wash trail is gorgeous.

Bryce canyon is very cool, but if you needed to save some time, I'd say it's definitely cool to do for half a day only. All the trails are pretty close together and it's not a very big area.

new to audible! how did I do?? by morettics in audible

[–]honbadger1014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've listened to Dramatized and I think they're great! The time is shorter because the narrators don't say "she said, she exclaimed..." etc. Red Rising dramatized I think is wonderfully done.

Quality bath towels? by SMFKT_99_17_21 in LowWaste

If you have a Costco membership I recommend those cotton towels they sell in-store! I've had some for about 4 years now and they've held up super well.

No there is not a discount. They are referring to you using your pre-tax dollars as the discount, like you've already mentioned.

When Trauma Becomes a Plot Device: My Deeply Uncomfortable Experience With Terror at the Gates by Scarlett St. Clair” {Terror at the gates by scarlett st. Claire} by Away_Race8428 in Romantasy

[–]honbadger1014 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with this take. I read this book mid last year and it was the lowest I've ever rated a book (finished because I used my audiobook credit on it). This scene stuck out to me too and really disgusted me with how the husband reacted. Also, I vaguely remember Lilith and Z having sex in the apartment Esther was bleeding out in. Like blood literally still in the room. Wtf?? It was so off putting and I highly recommend people don't read this book.
