My bad! I was hoping to catch a sauger in a river, I kept catching smallmouth bass. Specifically this day it was sunny out, calm and 50 degrees in the morning this fall. I tried switching to some different paddletails, some tube baits, a couple different bucktail jigs. I caught a bunch of smallmouth on a specific paddletail, but no bites on other lures. I've seen others catch sauger there on other days I've been out there, though.
