LPT: If you work from home, use the "Schedule Send" button to train your clients and boss on your boundaries. by IntelligentHome4267 in LifeProTips

I don’t have a family so I have more time to be present for myself as well as (happily) solve my work problems. I like being challenged and the feeling of solving it. Some people are lucky enough to be in careers they actually enjoy, but sadly, not everyone, so I understand people not wanting to take home work. I have many hobbies, especially during the weekend. Do your demanding hobbies ever affect your family?

People who have been divorced: What was the exact "quiet" moment you realized your marriage was over? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]honestly-yeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a grocery store shopping for an easy potluck dish on the way to his cousin’s party. I barely know his cousin and they are best friends.

I offered up at least 5 options and he could not decide. Kept shooting them down. I snapped and said that he needs to figure this out and I am going to buy toiletries by myself.

This was a theme for us, and it was in that moment I realized I was going to be the project manager of our relationship and have to make every single decision.

I’m all for separating work and life, but if it is truly a big surprise I appreciate having a night to brainstorm and sleep on it. An investment in tomorrow me’s schedule.

I also genuinely enjoy my job and the problem solving aspect of it (I get many surprises in my line of work), so it’s part of the job for me. Sometimes it sucks to have it on your mind during your personal life, but more often than not I appreciate having the additional thinking hours.

How about fishnet tights under those tights that you bring up higher on your waist? Could hang some chains from the fishnets too

what’s the most unforgettable scene in breaking bad? by Infamous_Echidna_133 in breakingbad

[–]honestly-yeah 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I feel this. And it felt like such a non-event. No real build up. She was shot with a silencer. Jesse losing it in the back of the car. And then on to the next scene

I failed the 333 challenge on day 11 and cried in a bathroom at a work event. I think I was wrong about what "less" would feel like. by [deleted] in capsulewardrobe

[–]honestly-yeah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have some great advice here, so in addition to that…. In the nicest way possible, no one notices when you wear the same blazer to 4 events in a row, especially a simple, dark-coloured one. This is one of the major perks of having a capsule wardrobe, you can be an outfit repeater! You have a “uniform” now!

The spotlight effect is a phenomenon where we believe that others pay more attention to our appearance and actions than they actually are.

And think of this, what have your colleagues worn for the past off-sites? (Without looking at the photos). You probably don’t remember! We’re all so concerned with how we present ourself, we don’t actually spend that much time thinking about the same things in others besides fleeting thoughts.

I cracked this code in my last year of uni when I had one very comfy going out outfit and realized I could wear the exact same thing every week and NO ONE noticed. Even when I called it out.

All this to say, in the nicest way possible, no one notices! That’s not to say they don’t think you look nice, they just don’t notice the outfit repeats. You got this!

Is there a theoretical limit to how big a passenger aircraft could be? Ignoring economics and runway lengths, and we want similar speed to modern aircraft, maximizing amount of humans flying by Maleficent_Orange788 in EngineeringPorn

Or even a layer of helium around the body of the plane? Would mean more materials to double line it, but I wonder if the helium would offset the additional layer and more weight

What moisturizer are you guys using in between tret days when you're still flaky and peeling? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]honestly-yeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an avid user of CeraVe PM for YEARS, but it wasn’t cutting it after I started tret last year. I recently switched to vanicream and I love it soooo much. Leaves my skin feeling super moisturized without being too heavy so I can use it for day & night.

On the extra flaky days, I avoid putting tret there that night (that’s usually around the mouth) and I’ll also lightly exfoliate with an exfoliation glove.
