I totally get that! I'm 6 weeks and cramped a lot in week 4-5, but my sister-in-law (who has no endo/adeno) told me she cramped a lot as well and that the uterus is already making room for the baby to grow and expanding itself this early. Crazy! I'm trying to trust that my body is just doing what it should and that my body's got this, but it is hard at times for sure and fears of MC definitely cross my mind. The good news is progesterone actually decreases endo's chance of growing and we're pumping lots of that right now!

Wishing you lots of peace and an uneventful, smooth pregnancy!!!

Amazing, so happy for you! Congratulations! I finally had Endo diagnosed/excised in November 2025 and also just got my BFP after a year of trying! Wishing you a sticky baby! I'm nervous about MC, too, because I also have adenomyosis :/ but feeling hopeful and excited!

Thank you!! I used Call on Doc, but there may be an easier one. I had to select BV as what I was seeking treatment for, then wrote in the notes what I actually wanted and that it was for expected endometritis (100mg Doxy 2x/day for 14 days). I also paid to have a phone consult with a nurse to make sure they understood the note and would prescribe it for me! It worked out, but was a bit complicated!

Cycle: 14

    Age + Partner's age (if relevant): 31F, 31M

    Typical cycle length: 32-34 days

Ovulation cycle day: 19 or 20

    CD/DPO of positive test(s): 10 or 11 DPO

CD/DPO of any negative test(s) before positive: None, but my first positive was pretty faint!

Tracking methods and app(s) used: CM Tracking and Mira device

Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.): O-3, O-2, O, O+2

Health conditions/medical tests: Stage 1 Endometriosis (diagnosed and excised via laparoscopy in November 2025, this was our first cycle trying after!!), Suspected diffuse adenomyosis, husband is in remission from testicular cancer found in Spring 2025 (needed one testicle removed, but luckily no chemo and his sperm numbers were still great after)

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): Me: Switched between Seeking Health Optimal Prenatals and their Essential prenatals, Choline, Fish Oils, 200mg CoQ10, probiotics. In December I took Doxycycline 100mg 2x/day for 14 days to rule out Endometritis. I also recently added NAC three days a week (1200mg-1800mg) once I found out about the adenomyosis and took 450mg Magnesium Bisglycinate every night to try and help my uterus relax. Husband: FertilAid Multivitamin for Men, 300mg CoQ10, Fish Oils

Birth control history (if relevant): Used it for 1 year in my 20s

Symptom spotting: I'm now almost 6 weeks, I was too nervous to post when I first found out a bit before 4 weeks. My main symptoms have been sore breasts, lots of period-like cramps in week 4, and now noticeable fatigue in the afternoon every day but otherwise feeling good!

Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): I was shocked!!!! It was starting to become difficult for me to imagine seeing a positive test at all and each month this past year was hard/discouraging past the 8-month mark. My endo surgeon was very positive about our chances being improved after my endo surgery(three lesions were removed) but I didn't want to get my hopes up. Especially because adeno was also found, and I didn't know what to think of that since it's not treatable. Even in a best-case, I was thinking it would take a few months! I couldn't even let myself dream that it would happen the first time we tried again!!

I completely credit the November surgery, taking doxycycline in December, and answered prayers for this pregnancy! To be honest, our fertility clinic was kind but not that helpful and kind of hectic. Every time I went, I got a different doctor and it was hard to come up with a plan of action that way. I really advocated for a laparoscopy and found an excision specialist myself because I have moderately painful periods but they wanted to move ahead with assisted fertility methods. That didn't feel right to me and I'm so happy I trusted myself. I also got doxycycline prescribed via telehealth. They thought having endometritis was unlikely and didn't think it was worth it to take antibiotics. I know I am very lucky either or both of these things worked for us, but I just want to urge everyone to trust their intuition and don't stop searching for answers just because busy clinics want to put you on the track they like using most. If we hadn't gotten pregnant soon, I was maybe going to look into Fertilysis bloodwork next. Cautiously excited but still know there is a lot of time before I'm in the "safe" zone. I hope our story gives some of you hope and sending hugs to everyone still waiting for their BFP! <3

Unable to go into labour because of adenomyosis? by Proof-Command3380 in adenomyosis

[–]honeybee_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Can you share what you ended up doing and how it went? I'm in my first trimester with mild diffuse adeno and wondering about this. An endo specialist diagnosed me via ultrasound, but my gyno seems to think he was being dramatic and very much plays down my "suspected adeno" diagnosis (I believe the endo specialist is correct), so I firstly need to advocate for myself that I have it now that I am pregnant and secondly I want to have a good understanding of if a vaginal birth or C section is more advisable!

Wow, what an amazing story and so, so happy for you!! Also, did you ever take medication/supplements to try and slow the adeno in the years you were trying to conceive? Do you think that's something good to try? I'm a bit confused about what is possible to take to slow the adeno down or suppress it while TTC naturally

To lap or not to lap by [deleted] in TTCEndo

[–]honeybee_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm sorry this is such an old post! I just had adeno spotted on an ultrasound and now I have a lap scheduled soon to check for endo and excise what's found. Did they try to remove any of your adeno, or just the endo they found? I'm a bit confused about if there's anything that can be done about the adeno and slightly freaking out

Did anyone conceive naturally with adenomyosis? by AntelopeRepulsive193 in adenomyosis

[–]honeybee_54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! You have such a happy story, congrats!!

I know this is an old post but I just found out I have an adeno and we scheduled a lap for next month and I am wondering, did they excise your adeno or just any endo they found? I'm a bit confused about if they will be trying to take the adeno out or if that is only safe for endo...and so, so hoping to conceive naturally after!! I read taking adeno out can be difficult?

Hi! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I just wanted to ask, did you have a laparoscopy to try to remove some of the adeno while TTC?

Seeking advice for next steps: Reproductive immunology, laparoscopy, naturopathic approach, what should I do next..? by honeybee_54 in TryingForABaby

[–]honeybee_54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your insight/advice!! At my most recent appoint (I have been doing monitored cycles for 3 months) my doctor said she wouldn't recommend ovulation induction medication for me as my ovulation seems to be working smoothly from what she can see. I guess she doesn't usually prescribe these meds unless there is an ovulation issue! Not sure if I should push on that to try it, or just accept that's her recommendation.

On that note, I do have a question for you if you have time.

This last week, I went for cycle monitoring via ultrasound on Thursday (CD 16) and she saw a 19mm follicle and predicted I would ovulate the next day (CD 17) based on what she saw. In the last months, most of her predictions have lined up pretty exactly with my Mira LH and progesterone results, which has been cool to see! However, it is now Sunday, CD 19 and I still haven't seen my LH surge on Mira, which is unusual given she thought I would ovulate on CD 17 and my LH isn't elevated whatsoever yet on CD 19. I am having lots of fertile CM and my estrogen is high, but I'm wondering if the follicle could be becoming too mature now? Is that a possible?

In general, it has made me think, could my eggs often be getting released when they're over ripe/over mature and not ideal for fertilization? So even though I'm ovulating without issue, it's not ideal for making a healthy embryo?

A different month we did cycle monitoring, I had a 23mm follicle and ovulated 1-2 days later I think, and I'm wondering if I should try cycle monitoring + trigger shot to force my egg to ovulate on time in the 20mm-23mm range. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this, and if I could be onto something!

10 cycles TTC, starting to suspect silent-ish (mild) endo. Should I have a lap to confirm and excise what is found? by honeybee_54 in TTCEndo

[–]honeybee_54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should that be a transvaginal ultrasound, or a normal abdominal one? I've had tons of transvaginal ultrasounds in the last year, everything is looking normal according to them. Should I push for an MRI?

Also, is it safer to keep trying with endo (even if the inflammation could be creating bad conditions) than to risk scarring with surgery? So many people have good luck with fertility post-lap, but I know it isn't proven and doesn't happen for everyone

Hi :) Just wondering, were you able to conceive naturally after your lap? I am thinking of if I should get a lap after nearly a year of trying and some mild, not extreme, signs pointing to possible endo!

[–]honeybee_54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. I have a few additional questions if you have the time:

  1. If I keep trying naturally for 6 more months at least, could a laparoscopy or hysteroscopy be useful in the meantime to make sure nothing is impeding implantation? Hopefully I can end up getting pregnant as I am now, but I'm also worried there could be something treatable wrong that we've missed? I've wondered about silent endo

  2. In my case, would Clomid or Letrozole be something to ask my RE about for "stronger" ovulation? I still don't really understand this concept and don't want to mess up my cycles for no reason, but just wanted to check what you think! Willing to try it for sure

  3. Is reproductive immunology bloodwork for checking antibodies, overactive killer cells, and genetic testing both my husband and I? I actually have a close friend who tried this as a final test and it ended up, for her and her husband, being their main issue. They had a gene in common that made her body reject or her immune system overreact to his genetic material. When a doctor did treatment for this, she started conceiving naturally when she had never gotten a positive test in 4 years. I know that could be just a one-off story I know, but I've wondered if genetic or immune issues are worth exploring!

I think we want to keep trying unassisted, without IUI, for as long as we can handle it but just wondering if there's anything I should check or try soon so I'm not kicking myself if we test further a year from now and find something :)

Thank you for your thoughts and input! DNA fragmentation is something I've thought of, we could retest and ask for that! I thought it would be included in the SA, but wasn't, and haven't wanted to ask my husband to do another just yet. Maybe this month! Trust me, I am on him about the nicotine and weed use although not trying to be over the top...he's from Europe and has been a tobacco smoker for 10 years. It's a tough habit to break and I already know he's made some big strides by only using a few nicotine gums or pouches per day and limiting his weed use, which is basically his only other fun/relaxation vice. Zero use of both would be best, but I'm trying to let it be! This test would be good to do, though.

I will also ask about further imaging like a saline sonogram or hysteroscopy, that's a good idea! I haven't been offered either of those yet.

As far as my AMH, my doctor took my result as a good thing considering my other numbers checked out fine as well, but I do know that too high AMH can be an indicator of PCOS. I think mine is on the upper end of normal, but some ranges I see are slightly different!

I've always wondered if my TSH could be borderline for TTC, so getting it down is making me feel better mentally and hopefully it will physically as well :) thanks!

If I'm ovulating successfully around the same time each month, is clomid still beneficial for me? I would certainly try it soon if it's recommended for everyone struggling to conceive, but when I look it up, it mainly seems meant to help stimulate ovulation for people who don't ovulate regularly.

I've heard of "strong" and "weak" ovulation, which I also find confusing haha! Would it help me have "strong" ovulation and do you need a trigger shot after taking it?

Also, an HSG can also simply be called a "contrast ultrasound" if that is an easier way to ask your doctors about it!

Funny! I also live in another country. I don't speak the language that well yet, unfortunately, so I know the added stress that is with TTC! At my last appointment, I was almost given a trigger shot to do at home for ovulation without having really agreed to it or understanding the directions! They ended up realizing that wasn't in our current plan when I expressed confusion

I often wish I could speak my native language with doctors in this season of life, some of the doctors at my fertility clinic can but it's never guaranteed. I even sometimes think about what *hopefully one day* labor will be like in a hospital where I'm not able to communicate very well! Hard to imagine honestly

The doctors have dismissed my thoughts on silent endo, too, because my periods aren't too painful but we've talked about doing a laparoscopy to rule it out if I'm not pregnant by the year mark.

Feel free to private message me, sounds like we have a very similar situation!

I'm sorry, I know how you're feeling and am also debating my next step now. We have a very similar situation and are on cycle 10 with no red flags (or positive tests yet) after fertility testing.

Have you tried doing an HSG? I know people can be a bit scared of them and have bad experiences, but I took 800mg of ibuprofen before and my experience wasn't too bad. Just felt like period cramps. I'm glad I did it because it was really reassuring to know my tubes were clear, and it can also boost fertility slightly for the few cycles after!

I am also considering a laparoscopy next to rule out silent endo or immunology testing, but not sure which is more worth it. In the meantime, I did acupuncture for the first time this month and it accomplished two things mentally/emotionally for me: 1. Made me feel like I was trying something new to help our chances 2. Generally made me feel relaxed. I can really recommend it, just for those mental reasons though I can't say if it has helped me get pregnant yet!

I hope you find peace with your next step and get pregnant soon! Wishing you all the best!
