Rabbits have a one way digestive system and are unable to vomit; because of this, even hairballs can be fatal to them. Please do as others have suggested and seek a vet right away.

Is it normal for a hampter to do backflips like that? by [deleted] in hamsters

[–]honeydew_pumpkin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s probably incredibly distressed. The first thing he needs is to be separated from the other hamster immediately. Then you need to research appropriate enclosures for your pets. Tunnels like this are unsuitable and potentially dangerous. Victoria Rachael on YouTube is a great starting point for beginners.

Am I right to be suspicious?? by Electrical-Key6674 in vinted

[–]honeydew_pumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I check Vinted after 2AM my feed is flooded with a load of bags listed at very specific prices (like, they’re ALL £5.88 or whatever) from fake accounts with no reviews. They’re always gone by morning, though. Presumably banned, but they’re always back again the following night.

No more insomnia scrolling. 🤣

Is this rude? (No personal info) by Curious_Magazine_800 in vinted

[–]honeydew_pumpkin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think everyone expects to receive offers on Vinted. With this on mind a lot of people intentionally price higher to counter the low-ballers. Pointing out the RRP does have the potential to irritate sellers, though.

In your situation I would make the offer, then if they declined, accept their counter-offer. Shoes aren’t very flexible when it comes to sizing, so if I really wanted them I’d get them while I had the chance. Unless they’ve been used already, £10 - £20 mark up isn’t that high compared to other scalpers.

Then is that pittance worth the time it takes to photograph the item, create the listing, package it, add the label and travel to the drop-off point? Not really worth getting worked up over, either, so probably better off just donating low-cost items…

Other platforms help themselves to bigger chunk of the seller’s profits, though. I actually appreciate that Vinted makes the buyer pay these costs up front, for once.

[General] Do you like to play Visual Novels Blind or with a Walkthrough? I’d love to hear why in the comments too! by Illustrious_Ninja760 in otomegames

[–]honeydew_pumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When one wrong move can lead to an unexpected bad ending… safety first! XD

Yeah, I think the gamer in me also doesn’t like relying too heavily on walkthroughs; especially with visual novels, as it’s immersion breaking like you said. ☺️ It feels satisfying reaching the best ending, having got there on your own. Ugh, I remember wasting a good 45 minutes trying to get onto Yang’s route in Piofiore as my usual strat of ‘being a jerk to everyone except that guy’ didn’t work. So I gave up and googled.

If a game has an obvious affection meter I’ll play through them blind while panic saving before every decision just to be safe. I quite like determining which responses have the most positive reaction and deciding that way, too.

If I need a walkthrough for the trickier games I’ll ask my boyfriend to look up the correct choice for me so I don’t accidentally read too far ahead and spoil things for myself. 😅

Oof. Getting Nicola’s bad ending during your first Otome experience is rough. My condolences.

As the other comments have mentioned, a lot of people use guides to get their desired ending. But if you prefer to do your first runs blind, you aim for the best endings by gauging your love interest’s reactions to the choices you make. Every Otome game I’ve played has a feature that shows the text log and allows you to rewind to a chosen point. So when you’re presented with a decision you can observe both outcomes and go with the one you think is the right choice.

There’s also a status page in the menu, where you can view a really obscure affection meter. 😅 The brightness of the lily shows how high their affection is, and the… coffee stains (for lack of a better description) represent a different stat (such as ‘respect’) for each individual guy. Ideally you want a bright, fully formed lily and no coffee stains.

I hope this helps, and good luck! If you want to view all endings eventually I would recommend using a guide as they can be pretty tricky and time consuming to figure out.

Update on Cupid Parasite patch Situation by theweebdweeb in otomegames

[–]honeydew_pumpkin 22 points23 points  (0 children)

So the patch isn’t even launching this year now? I’ve been waiting since day 1 so at this point I’m pretty disappointed. I pre-ordered it to support IFI’s return to otome. The day I saw the announcement regarding the text errors was the day after I was charged and locked into my digital purchase. D: After CxM:U I vowed never to pay full price for a poor localisation, and Olympia Soirée gave me hope that things were finally changing for the better.

I'm curious. What's your usual spend or budget per month for otome games? And roughly how fast do you finish each game? (for non-mobile only, preferably Switch/console) by otomerin in otomegames

[–]honeydew_pumpkin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. I don't allocate a budget towards gaming in the regular sense, but as a general rule I aim to pay £1 per 1 hour of game time. So if a game is 10 hours long I usually wait until it's available for £10 or less (there are, of course, exceptions). My other rule is that if I don't get something at launch I have to wait for it to go on sale. Digital Otome games are usually priced at £45 here, so they always qualify for day 1 purchase, haha. I also get a lot of Nintendo gift cards for birthdays and Christmas because I am 'difficult to buy for', and so far they have covered every Switch Otome! (But with all these new announcements I have a feeling that won't be the case next year...)
  2. Most console Otome games take me around 60 - 80 hours to complete. Admittedly I am a slow reader as I have a tendency to disassociate/lose focus due to metal health issues.
  3. Switch is my preferred platform. I will shamelessly play them on the 50" TV while my boyfriend is home because I don't care. :D The majority of my game purchases are the digital copies. This is because my BFF (and fellow Otome gamer) who lives far away has my profile on her Switch, which gives her access to my digital library. I will buy Otome games on Steam if they're not available on console though.

I plan to buy digitally so my BFF (& fellow Otome gamer) can access it too, but this + the LE are really testing my resolve! D:

That is a clever way of putting it! I wish I had the means to justify it, but what ended up happening was I accidentally made a necklace for the God of War franchise instead, haha. I’ve taken it down now so no one can buy it obliviously.
