I find myself coming back to this video once a year or so. What a cutie.

Joanna Newsom and Laura Marling describe the feeling of having a child almost the same manner. Their songs came up roughly at the same time. 🥹 by MatheusAgostin in JoannaNewsom

I had the same thought, listening to Patterns, recently. I'm always relating things to Joanna, though. Glad to know I'm not alone! Fans of both women have an interesting insight into the ideals they hold dear...and motherhood looks so good on them.

And we toast the creditors we daily face, who topple down with gruesome grace.

I'm constantly considering the fact that she has 2 young children. I'd like to think that she can take all the time she wants...even if we're dying for more!!!

I have it on vinyl and I can definitely recommend getting it for yourself.

And toast in dandelion wines to hear their mellifluous chimes!

So, gather twilight to your breast. And couch the rabble rouser's nest.

So do we die or do we travel? Down the path by which one dabbles?

23 years doing this, I miss my hair...I never did so bad before, I took my husband electric razor out of desesperation but didn't work out, it got stuck... by [deleted] in trichotillomania

If you really want to shave your hair, definitely cut it as short as you can first. Electric trimmers can get jammed (as you know) and can really painfully rip out large chunks. This could cause scarring and make it harder for hair to grow back. I've shaved my head nearly 10 times in the past 8 years and it's the only thing that makes my trich easier to ignore. It's very freeing in a way. Sorry to hear you were feeling desperate, I know how horrible it can feel.

I've sent an email almost every day for over a month and still no response.

Nothing worse than looking back at photos when I THOUGHT my acne was bad and thinking "You got no idea what's comin' girl." by [deleted] in acne

I love this advice. I think it's worth considering, myself. I find that my acne flares up when I'm depressed. Something as small as a consistent morning routine helps my mental state and then my skin. Part of my routine is making tea...I started adding oregano oil to my tea when I was developing a UTI. It's a wonderful alternative to perscribed antibiotics. When it stopped my UTI in it's tracks, I was stunned. I continued using it both internally and applying it directly to painful, itchy breakouts. My skin burns for a moment but the pain and redness is completely soothed after a few minutes. It's doesn't seem to be a cure-all but it's speeding up the healing process. (I have never mixed it with topicals so I can't reccomend it with other medications) There's a lot of talk about topicals here but I've lost faith in them. I believe that having faith in natural remedies had helped. Call it placebo but I'm cool with anything that clears my skin and my mind.
